What do audiences really want from the bass player?
mart3442 replied to Al Krow's topic in General Discussion
If someone comes up to me after a show and tells me I played great and they aren't a Bassplayer, I assume I've overplayed. If anyone comes up to me and tells me the band sounded great, then I've done my job. Thats all I want the audience to expect..... -
Utter bargain. I just picked up a new Coda Pro 5 on offer from Bassdirect for £575, and that was a great price. You won't be be dissapointed!

For sale,or possible trade, depending on what you have..... my lovely MIJ Fender Precision, model number PB57, manufactured in 1995/6. In good shape for a 22 year old Bass, 4 dings on the lower body, prossibly caused by a rubbish stand. numerous small scratches, at various points on the finish. The varnish has chipped off the edge of the fingerboard in several places, suggesting that the fingerboard edges have been rolled at some point in the basses life.... I'd say the Bass is a medium weight. The loom has been upgraded to CTS pots and cloth wiring, the pickup is from a 1980's Squier Silver series P bass. Plenty of life left in the skinnyish frets, and the truss rod works fine. The Wilkinson bridge has been replaced with a suitable vintage looking model, and the Dunlop locking strap buttons have been changed for standard buttons. No case with this one I'm afraid, but the Bass will be safely shipped, in a box, within a box and plenty of bubblewrap. Or of course, the buyer may collect from the Wirral. I'd imagine UK postage will be in the region of £20-25.... Any questions, please ask.

Bought Steves Lovely '78 Fender P. Due to scheduling we couldn't meet up for 3 weeks but he kept the Bass, and wouldn't hear of taking a deposit from me. Fab Bass and a top lad. Cheers, Mart.

£100 inc UK posatage. Aguilar AG 4P-Hot Precision Pickup. Unused, new and boxed. One set of precision bass pickups, still has the protective plastic on the pickups. From the Aguilar website: "With their larger, 6mm magnets and over-wound design, these pickups have a hotter output that loves to push the input of your amplifier with a tone that is big and loud with thundering lows. Despite their sonic onslaught, the AG 4P-HOT will retain all the dynamics of your playing style. Dig in with a pick (or your fingers!) and all of the grit and nuance of your attack comes through without losing the midrange". Having had a look online, these these go for £120-130 a set. I'm offering these for £100 including UK postage. Don't forget, these pickups are new and unused. No mounting foam/springs or screws included, thats how Aguilar ship them.... Cheers, Mart.
