2. I'm selling Gretsch White Falcon for the harp player in my band. 3.
Thanks for this. He played with my all time fave guitarist, Micky Jones.
They did a lot together in the 1980s... shame so little got release (just the Flying Pigs album). Would loved to have seen them live.
 4. I'm pleased to announce the latest interview from www.flyguitars.com, with rock bassist Mick Hawksworth. I put this in the gear section, because the interview is mostly about Mick's bass gear... Mick Hawksworth has been performing and recording for over 40 years, in a long line up of bands, and as a session player. In the 60s he was noted for his "technically brilliant basslines" after he formed the short-lived Andromeda with Attack frontman John Cann. Their sound was akin to Cream one moment, The Who the next, and perhaps Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd after that. Over the next decade he played bass in Fuzzy Duck, Toefat, Jimmy McCullough Band, Landslide, Charley Horse, Shanghai, Human Orchestra, and Ten Years Later recording with the likes of Alvin Lee, Mickey Jones, Mathew Fisher (ex-Procol Harum), Gilbert O'Sulivan and more besides. Check out the Mick Hawksworth interview (and for a chance to win an Andromeda CD, enter my Mick Hawksworth competition) And finally, just as a taster, here's Mick playing his fretless RD artist (through his 1970 Acoustic 360) with his current band Tres Geezers. I went down to see them In February of this year, and filmed this. Watch out for the the bass solo, in the middle. 5. The Epiphone Rumblekat is a good bass, exceptional for the money. I'd certainly try one of those.
 6.
Something with more than one neck?
You'd think so Greg, but no.... The thing I want is way cooler than that. If I win, i'll post pics here. And you know more than most which 'other' brand drives me
 7. Hi, I have a Seymour Duncan p-style pickup with three switches 1 0, 2 N and 3 Can anyone give me a model number? Are they any good? What do the switches do please? Thanks
 8. Ok, thanks people. Yes you eagle eyed people are right. This IS right handed, and i've asked ebay to upddate the listing - it seems to be one of the things you can not adjust yourself. I am not sure who I normally send my guitars with - I take them to the Royal mail depot... is that not parecleforce? So who do you all ship with? This really is a nice condition bass, with a reasonable reserve. Damn ebay for taunting me with other basses......
 9. Just listed my 2000 Rickenbacker 4003 on ebay. It is in really nice condition. It is up for 7 days, though I will pull it with the right offer here. I am only selling this because i've fallen for something else on ebay... and I REALLY want it. See the ebay page for pics. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=250519907471 Thanks
 10.
what do peeps think about the price?
You leave too much to guesswork It is in good condition, by the looks of it, but you say plenty of wear? How much? Where? Does it have an original Gibson case? Is this cherry faded to walnut, or was it walnut to start with? Are the electrics original/untouched (pic). Pot codes? Any damage to the truss rod tip? (overtightening can snap it off) Anything about action and playability? A complete mid seventies EB0, is worth somewhere between £500 and £800 i'd say... You need to clarify the points above and get some really good pics to allow people to judge where on that scale your bass lies. Hope this helps
 11.
If it still has the serial number sticker on the rear of the headstock, email the number to me and I'll try and tell you all you need to know about it [email protected] Lorne
Lorne tells me this is a 1983 maple through neck with mahogany wings. Pickups are not original though... anyone got some 80s BC rich pickups available? Thanks Lorne....
 12.
Still got that EB-3L? Mmmmmmm. Any idea what they're worth out of interest?
Yeah, and i'm 9/10ths of the way through a restoration of a second. Exactly the same but white. I just won the jack plate on ebay, but it seems to be lost in the post As for value... who knows, that's why I prefer trades.
 13. Nice array. What's the wilson like? Any comparison to other 60s hollowbodies?
 14. Interested in trades at all for this?
 15.
would you like an ibanez tr seires MIJ
sorry, I only like old basses
 16.
NJ Mock? NT Mock? I have nothing to offer beyond crap, sadly.
My mockingbird is also crying out for use heres some pics. I don't know much about these basses, except this one is neck through and has nice headstock inlays I'd accept cash for this one, if no trade offers come up
 17.
Hi Whats the current situation with the epiphone rivoli and the ric 4001? Cheers John
Hi John confused... are you talking to me? My Rick is a 4003, and it is sitting crying in it's case, because I don't ever get it out. I am looking for a Rivoli, not offering one. (Although I did buy that '67 Rivoli on ebay a few months back, that someone had converted to a violin shaped EB1)
 18. It's a nice colour, whatever else you want to say about it
 19.
Only possible thing I can think of is it might be vintage......really doesn't look it.
They haven't been around that long....
 20. I guess they've got it wrong. Unfortunately someone who hasn't done their homework may well buy it.
 21.
I think you'll find that no-one in the UK
GAK did... a couple days before mine turned up (I pre-ordered in February) I sent them an email and they had one... gone now I guess.
 22. Gibson EB3s came in white in the late seventies... tend to go for significantly more than the walnut/cherries though. I've just got a 1971 EB3L (split headstock) redone in white. Picks to follow hopefully....
 23.
The long scale EBs.... obviously nobody actually played the prototype before it was OK'd for production! If it's any consolation the short scale EBs dont balance that well either
My Epiphone EB3 does dive, that is true. I can't agree about the Gibsons at all. For the purposes of this thread I just tried: 63 EB0, (shortscale), a 1971 EB3L and an EB4L (same as a '72-79 EB3 in all but electronics). That covers all main body styles. None showed any sign of neck dive. EB3s are my main playing basses, and I never have any problems. I've never played a shortscale EB3 that didn't balance perfectly for me Ones with bridge covers removed may be that bit lighter one end - maybe that accounts for some of this? (mine all have covers). I don't often use a wide leather strap either.
 24. Firstly, electronic engineer Kirkwood Rough has drawn up circuit schematics for the Gibson Victory Artist and Custom basses. Thanks Kirkwood! Gibson Victory Artist Bass schematic Gibson Victory Custom Bass schematic But did you know there were two versions of the Victory Artist bass circuit? The most widely used (afaik) is marked Rev B, but another (which we are calling Rev A) also exists. Differences are subtle. So, I am hoping you will all help me out - unscrew your scratchplate and tell me your serial number and whether it has the unmarked (Rev A) or the Rev B board. I'm compiling a list here, but you can post in this thread, and i'll compile it all later. Thanks all, hope the schematics are of use to some of you
 25.
Still available this beauty
It is a beauty - and the rosewood fretboard is an unusual feature, only seen on a few 80s G3s. Unfortunately the pounds to euros exchange rate is pretty bad just now. I guess that is holding back a lot of people.
