That's 144 Euro with shipping to the UK. I am very tempted. Don't know why as I have two Jazz basses already, but it's just so 'pretty' I love the ashtrays. Edit: My misses just said, well are you going to order one? I'll let you know
Haha, cool! Hopefully you get a decent one like mine. I emailed them beforehand, and they said if I wasn't happy I could return. Which, I thought was fair! ( Minus €8 for shipping ) Looking forward to gigging this sometime. Next on the list..... Hmmm,, something with a P config!

Yeah from guitar-warehouse. Took a chance and honestly, I'm very very pleased with feel and sound! They do a few different kinds of basses, and kits (4-6 string) and all seem to get good reviews.
That's pretty sweet looking
Thanks! It sounds great too, it really does. I posted it was the same as the SX, but it's made by a different company ( Sunsmile Guitars )

That is HORRIBLE! You should get rid of it. Send it to Cork and I'll dispose of it in a safe, and correct manner!! Nice. Very, VERY nice!! Congrats!

The Bassmaster Funk i have is all maple, not too bad! The Kramer is mahogany, the Vintage EST ( Kiddies Nightmare ) is Poplar, the Fleabass is Alder.

I have to say, the more I play this bass, the more I'm impressed with it! Seriously nice sounding and playing bass. I'll try get some audio clips of it over the next few weeks.

Whats the best Jazz Bass I can buy for under £300

As I posted here, I recently got a Stellah SJB800. Couldn't be happier with it! 129e for a bass that sounds and plays great. I love the grain too My .02 cents -
I got a reply back from them. Not very much info was given, I had asked for specs, run numbers, variations etc...... Apparently mine is an early model (score ) I got sent the same catalogue sheet as posted here, and that was all. Here is the Email: Hi The model is an early version of the bassmaster funk…..the logos changed as time went on. I have attached the basic spec for you. Not a fender, and also posted in the 'is it just me, or....' thread. Stellah SBB 800 Very nice player, and a nice Jazz type bass.

Well, I did it. I took a punt! I went for the dark ash finish and I have to say..................... I really like it! The finish on it is flawless. Not one blemish on the body or neck. All the frets are tidy, no fret buzz! I haven't played it through my amp yet as it's not in my possession, but even unpowered it sounds very nice. The fit and overall finish, ( Well, the fit ) is 99% spot on. There is a TEENY gap at the neck cavity ( I'm talking a sheet of paper sized gap ) and one of the ashtray covers ( Bridge pup ) is slightly raised. Nothing a turn of a screw wouldn't fix. Nice weight and it seems very balanced. Guys, for 129e, I think it's got the feel of a MUCH more expensive bass. I'll be playing it amped tomorrow, lets hope it doesn't disappoint!

I hate this thread! So much GAS!! One day, ONE day I will have one............... *Sigh*

It used to be a pig to play, but now I have a chance to set it up properly. Get the action nice and low. The neck is lovely, but the action was always miles high!! Get a proper set up, and a set of Super Slinkies on it over the next week or so! I have officially named this bass 'Kiddies Nightmare'
Best paint job ever.
It's pretty different. Cheers! Need a few coats of clear on it, and a proper set up, and I'll try get it in rotation for gigs Can't wait until I have it in working order again!

I can't sing and play at ALL, so you're not alone! One or the other
Pretty much! Some (like me) want a zingy, clangy sound that you can only really get from new strings. If that is your preference and you gig/rehearse regularly, sweat lots and use cheaper strings, that could mean changing them every week!!
^^^^^ I can relate to that!! I love new string sound, especially on the D-1! But my DR Neons have been on for a few months and still sound pretty good, even if the coating is coming off in certain areas! Try many strings, I do like Ernie Super Slinkies though!!

Getting to the final steps!
I've yet to hear anything good about the fleabasses review-wise. Especially for the money! Could easily get an OLP or better for the same cash
I have put up a pretty positive review of the Fleabass here. I bought one for some fun, and was pleasantly surprised with the fit and finish! The bridge is great, smooth, fast, thin neck, funky sound! Only negative is there is a hiss from the pots when the treble is up! For 200e I was pleased. It's also fun to play! The early ones had a BAD rep for QC, but the later models seem to be sorted! Got mine from Thomann.

It's the newest offering from, feck, what are they called?? Em.......... Gibson!! It's the new Gibson 'original' I believe? It has the wrong name on the headstock!

Have bought one of these. Got the dark finish one. Was talking to the head man, he likes how they play, and has said if I don't like it, he'll do a full refund no problem. Fair enough deal. I'll look forward to trying it out in the coming days! I do like cheap funky basses.
