  1. That’s just great. And so up beat. Love it! Someone mentioned Electro Deluxe earlier. Here’s one of there’s that also has such a positI’ve vibe.
  2. To be fair, it is really lovely there. The owners are a couple who are super nice. We're well treated, decent pay and a very appreicative audience so it should be nice. The only issue now will be bagging that parrot and getting it back through customs... now where did I put that folding cage?
  3. Well, we're off to Norway on Wednesday for four gigs (Thursday-Sunday) in a tent. Regulations there are a bit looser than here in Germany - possibly because of their much lower population density and hence lower infection rates. The government website states that events up to a maximum of 200 socially distanced guests are allowed. Where we'll be, in Laerdal, is a small town at the end of a fjord where there's a caravan site. In all honesty I do have some reservations about this, but being as music is my sole source of income, what else am I gonna do? This may end up being the only work I do for the rest of the year.
  4. Congratulations, how was it, playing again? Weird or a relief? I haven’t played since back in March. We‘re supposedly playing 4 days fron 16th-19th July in Norway. After that it’s anyone’s guess for the remainder of the year.
  5. Well that can’t be right because it would imply that.... Oh, wait...
  6. Playing bass in a band will get you girls.
  7. And then, of course, there’ll be the whole patenting debacle with those good ol’boys over at ZZ Top. Nightmare!
  8. It really is worth a bit of time and effort - @Quatschmacher is super helpful. Give it a go 👍
  9. I hadn’t heard of them before this thread. They were that cheap? I thought 79 quid sounded reasonable.

  11. From all accounts a very nice bloke. He did indeed have top-class musicians, not least of all because he paid very well indeed. If reports are to be believed, he even, on one occasion, funded the complete mortgage up front of a band member and allowed them to pay it back to him at a super fair rate.
  12. Matt Rollings‘ contributions are also not too shabby
  13. I may have an open air gig on August 7th. An island in a sea of unemployment.
  14. ....walks away whistling tunelessly and trying to look disinterested.
