It just seems to me that promoters can’t afford to run venues at 50% capacity which is probably an over optimistic estimate of what it would have to be in order to observe social distancing properly. Also, it’s my understanding that the 1.5-2m rule is for up to 15 mins in enclosed spaces. Not a couple of hours like most gigs or shows. The tough bit is trying to work on a new source of income with a five year old and an 8 year old with adhd at home 🤪... ho-hum...

I saw what you did there! 🤓

Is that a recent photo? If so, time has treated him kindly.

I live in Germany. In all honesty, given the necessary rules of social distancing, I can’t see gigs in any sort of venue being viable before we have a reliable vaccine. This means, for me, finding a whole new living. I have lived from playing for 30 years.

Picked up the bass today for the fist time in weeks...

Honestly, some people are never satisfied. But seriously, that was a close call. I’m glad you pulled through. All the best for your further recovery. -
If I‘m reading the logo correctly on my phone screen, it would seem that the thieves got Cort in the act.

I’ve just realised (tiny screen on my phone etc) that the whole time I was confusing you with the Greek 🤦

I’m a ‘66 vintage myself.

Fair point. Also, I seem to remember seeing a playing video of you a couple of years back and you’re no way as old a fart as I am.

So I’m guessing poster’s YOB roughly between 1964 and 1968? Am I right? Well am I?

I really enjoyed that Don Cheadle clip. In interviews he comes across as so funny with a really great, dry sense of humour. -
Please tell me that this is a joke and not something that anyone actually did 😳

Also very active in fundraising for military veterans - started his own organisation for them - by all accounts a very nice chap. But then, he would be, wouldn’t he? Bass player, innit? -
According to Wikipedia, Gary Portnoy and Judy Hart Angelo - the composers of that theme are New Yorkers, so your theory would seem to hold true.

And you lived to tell the tale. -
Congratulations chief 👍

I‘ve often had sounds which sounded fine on the smaller speakers in my home office jump out and take your head off in a live context. The capacity to tweak them (at the Soundcheck, not on the fly mind - the knobs are too sensitive to do that in the heat of battle) is very useful there.

I’ve never had any problems using standard string lengths on my Läkland which is 35“ scale, so I don’t think it should be an issue.

@Quatschmacher is a top chap and super helpful - there, I’ve said it. Zach Rizer did do a FI video but it was well pre version 3 and quite superficial (that’s not a criticism, mind. An I n depth video about the F I would be about five hours long).
