1. That's great. It's like going into a pub and asking for "a pint of beer, please."
2. I once worked in a show where the dancers were hired from the States. One was inflicted with the, in my opinion, incredibly vile name of Wealthy.
3. Ooooh, that creamy off-white. Discreet would have a fit.
4.
Would rather put my head up an elephant than listen to that talentless twat

Move over; I'll be joining you.
Now, now boys, let's not be making this a matter for the RSPCA.
5. @PawelG, thanks for that, now it's in my HEAD!
6. Aaaaaaarghhhh, don't they look lovely! Congratualtions and best wishes for the future.
7. I had tennis elbow problems some years ago. It lasted over 6 months and threatened to stop me playing altogether, which, being as I do it for a living, caused me a lot of worry at the time. After 4 months of combined physiotherapy, stimulation current therapy and massaging with an ice cube (v. painful that last one) making matters worse, I got a cortizone shot which only helped temporarily. The problem soon came back and I was very worried. Then I tried homeopathy. I can't remember the substance used, but symptoms were 80% gone within a matter of days. I know many people are skeptical of homeopathy, myself included, but on this occasion it worked for me. Either way, good luck with your recovery. I had a milder recurrence about 3 years ago and a good osteopath was able to help me using manipulation to free up blockages in my joints.
8. There was a thread on them here not so long ago http://basschat.co.uk/topic/299177-anderson-paak/page__fromsearch__1 http://youtu.be/ferZnZ0_rSM
9. If you're looking at affordable p/j combinations, what about the new Sire P7? The first batch are already sold out at Thomann, but new ones are expected in August. Edit: oops, perhaps too far outside budget, sorry.
10.

What a very excellent picture.
11. Hey there, I followed your link and it said that the file is empty.
12.
Oh, yes..! Excellent..! Holly good, sir..!
Yew are too kind, sirs.
13. You might try the 'bit of sponge under the strings at the bridge' trick to get a more thumpy upright sound.
14.
More of a privet joke really
What, the kind that get a laurel laughs?
15. So joyous and crazy, full of love. Thanks for that.
16. A few years back I played on a soul review backing her. You get the charts at the one rehearsal with her. They are collected at the end of the rehearsal by her MD and not seen again until the gig. They are then collected immediately at the end of her set. I don't know if they're the original motown charts, but they certainly looked old enough. The gig was loads of fun and wierdly, the whole groove, tempo etc. can be derived from her tambourine which she always plays. This is definitely an exception to the rule regarding singists armed with percussion ordnance.
17.
On one of the biggest outdoor gigs I'd ever played Ipicked up my 5 string and started playing horribly out of tune with everyone else but not by an instantly recoverable amount. It was excruciating. i had to stop and swap basses. I couldn't see the leds on my tuner so pulled out my spare lcd analogue when I had tuned my 5string between sets. Somehow the calibration on this rarely used tuner had been changed from 440hz to something else.
Ouch! My heart goes out to you there.
18. You may well be right. Thanks, P.
19. Hi All, I'm curious about a 5-string pbass, so I'm thinking of grabbing one of these and dropping in a better pup. Has anyone here already done this and they recommend a pup? Cheers, Paul.
20.
I did post this 2/3 years back. But always good for a repost. A couple of friends of mine had a nice little side project. Sadly the Bassist, Steve McManus (RIP) is no longer with us. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1hXegr69mQ&list=WL&index=157
Wow, that's some cracking voices they've got.
21. Hey Blue, I'm just curious, but when you introduced yourself, didn't the then current bass-player feel a little threatened? I guess it depends how you go about it, but it must be a bit tricky. Paul
22.

Love it.
23. Did that once on a musical I was subbing at, only no d-tuner on the house instrument. You were required to detune and retune before and after the song in question and I had forgotten to retune. Fortunately the following song was fairly straightforward, so just a short mindbend for one song.
24. OK, so you'll either turn this off after 2 seconds or just enjoy the energy like I did. Apologies in advance to any die-hard AC/DC fans. http://youtu.be/ay_jN3KHp5c
