1. Popped his gig cherry, yayyyyy! Well done matey. It's amazing how much, by the way of clangers dropped, punters (and for that matter bandmates) don't notice, isn't it ?
2. Finally initiating the masses to what we of the brethren have instinctively known all along😉👍
3. But it does raise the issue of when you could play it. I mean, an instrument should be played and all that, but I really would be afraid of damaging something like that on a gig.
4. Yep, total bargain and sounds like an easy repair. Always best to double secure these with a cable-tie when flying.
5. Hey there. I know you said you'll post pics soon, but just fyi, you'll really get no interest here until people can see your pics of the actual instrument. GLWTS 🙂
6.
I hate them. I am also a bass player from Leeds and was living and gigging in NYC at the same time in the mid '90s. Todd Rundgren even hung out with us, *and* I'm taller than Langdon but I never bumped into Liv Tyler. :/ Hate that ****in band!
Life can be so unfair 😉
7. I still haven't watched that. Maybe I'll give it a spin then.
8. Wow, I never thought you'd be selling this. Got your eye on something else? GLWTS
9. hmmmm.....something of a cliffhanger ending to that last post....
10. I love 'em. I've never owned one, but the fretless acoustic/electric ones with the very 'flat' body shape are ace. They can do a usable double-bass simulation if you pluck over the neck and drop the highs. Abe Labiriel seemed to like his back in the 90s.
11. We played, as one of the bands, doing the late afternoon/early evening slot on a festival where Level 42 were headlining (early 90s). There were about 10,000 there.
12. Sometimes referred to as "TV-tuning" i.e. when doing a half/full playback TV appearance and you're not actually playing so visuals matter more.
13. I haven't heard an electric-acoustic that sounds like a uke-bass. Fretless is the way to go, should you choose to persevere.
14.
I recently bought a combo on Ebay as a 'buy it now' item. The seller was in Kent, I am in West Oxfordshire. My bid went in at about 09.00 and by 15.00, I had the amp (and the seller) in my lounge. Used it at that night's rehearsal.
What, as a stand for the amp? 😜
15. Certainly looks the canine gonads.
16. Nice looking, but 9lbs 7oz for a shortscale? Puuuuh, heavyyyy!
17.
I always had my suspicions about those brass players, you know. :taps nose significantly:

The YAS-23 is levelled at student to intimidate but is also used by many pros.
This may, in fact, be the only way to get students to practise.
18. Hey mate, now that the bass is sold, you're much more likely to have luck selling the amp over in the amps and cabs for sale section. GLWTS 😉
19. His Solo on Paul Simon's Nightgame track is sublime.
20. Definitely one for that Flintstones tribute act I've been meaning to start.
21. I can honestly say that no one has ever asked me.
22.
Rhys, what else would be useful for the centre ?
+1 C'mon, maybe we can help out some more. That's what this place is great for.
