1. It looks like a mangy hyena, but in a good way...? I kind of like it despite myself...hmmmmmm.
2. Hi Pa, if it's repairwork you need doing, alex guitars does most of the pros I know (including me). www.alexguitars.de (I've just checked their link and keep getting re-routed to some other bogus site. Anyway their telephone number is 030 247 23122 Ken Skversky (an American guy) is also good and reliable. http://www.guitarserviceberlin.de/ Or you could try guitardoc http://www.guitardoc.de/ I haven't had any bespoke stuff built here, but this guy has a very good reputation http://www.nickpageguitars.com/ Hope this helps. Cheers, Paul
3. Down to the night club (horns) bumpty-bumpty-bump!
4. [s]900[/s] pounds [s]850[/s] 800 pounds Hi there, so, here's my 1991 MM Stingray 5 fretless (serial number 52417). She was born fretless unmarked and I had a luthier put the markings on for me. I bought it in about '94, I think (old fart, no memory) and I believe I was the first owner. The case is not original, it's a generic vintage-style jobby. The case has one nasty scratch on the back (see pics). I've only used it live maybe 3 or 4 times so there's virtually no wear on the fingerboard, so the only dings and dongs are the scratches on the bottom (see photos) thanks to a crappy stand which I didn't notice till it was too late. Neck, hardware, truss-rod, pups, fingerboard etc. are all fine. She has a nice low action and sounds typically stingray-ish with tons of mwahhh. According to my bathroom scales, she weighs 4.7 kilos. I'm based in Berlin and am willing to courier. I'm looking for cash rather than a trade. [s]900[/s] pounds [s]850,[/s] 800 pounds Cheers, Paul http://imgur.com/a/UvIbg
5. Have you seen this? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/253697-genz-benz-focus-410t/page__fromsearch__1 It's lower down in this forum.
6. Hi Frank, welcome from a fellow Berliner. Cheers, Paul
7. This bass is now sold. PLEASE REMOVE
8. "Ring of Fire" is a bugger if you're not familar with it A doddle to play but scattered with 2/4 bars and the second verse is different to the first. A classic trap.
9. Now for general sale or trade. I have my Streamliner. P.
10. Hey there, it's all a bit confusing with these basses. I'm trading one elsewhere on Basschat which I bought from new back in 1990 or 91 (I forget which). One of the problems is that, as far as I can tell having read around a bit, in the Japanese and Taiwanese models (which are ostensibly the same quality, according to what I've read), the "A" stands for active, whereas the American built BB5000A's are passive instruments. Prices vary widely depending where you look. The American ones seem to be more popular and higher priced.
11. Aaaaah, I's a bit slow on the uptake, but mean well and can lift 'eavy tings! Well I'm certainly up for it.
12. Thanks for the offer, but I already have a '76 Jazz. Sorry P.
