I saw Them is Me at The haymakers in Cambridge on saturday and they were awesome, blew the roof off the place. Really cool guys and spent time after the gig thanking everyone for coming, massive stage presence, you could tell they had done it all before. The chap on guitar is fantastic has really great tone and is imacluate to the album.

I have a CMI Rickenfaker and was wondring if anyone know what it might be worth ? Also im thinking of putting some new pups in it but am not really to sure whats best Any advive would be gratefully recieved. This was my main bass about 10 years ago and has sit in a cupboard after being damaged a while back, The damag has been repaired but the pick ups and electronics need looking at

i have the 450 head and 4x10 cab and love it compared to my ashdown i love the warmth of sound on the classic side with the voice turned full down. if your experiencing problems with the amp speak to the marshall service dept if it's new you waranty sound cover any repairs. i play in a band called angryman www.angryman.info the band has 2 albums Long way and Better Life, angryman has been a popular peterboough band for 6 years and have had some wider spread sucess. our video for the song Better Life has had over 75000 you tube hits and we have been recently played on channel 4 and some time on local radio. couldn't agree more about ashdown really hated (hate, still haven't sold it) my mag210, so hard to get the eq exactly how i like. cheap zoom effect boxes

beedster, i will call liberon tomorrow and try to find out any more information,You may want to try coateing it in the bleach and covering it in cling film to allow the wood to sweat this works on most areas of application. do you have any pic's?

why didn't it work? is there anything on the surface stopping the bleach from penetrating the wood. how many applications did you try?

another product i sell Liberon wood bleach Draws out any stain or dye in the timber, this is a sh*tty job though and very messy again as said above try it on a area no that visable www.brewers.co.uk see where you nearest branch is and they should stock it.

Thats defo been re-finished badly you can see brush marks on the base and crazing were either in-compatiable paints have been used or the drying guide lines not adhered to. The flatness of the finish could be down to wiping the newly painted area with thinners, this could dull the lacquer.

On the site you will find a link to a Ral and Bs standard colour card. These colours are avaliable in the lacquers mentioned above. I have not yet found a link to metallic colours But they are avaliable so bare with me

i will check on metallic colours tomorrow The filler is only really used if the base is bare timber and comes in paint/aerosol form. this is generally in white. it's used to fill the grain of the timber and can be apply fairly thick without sagging or running. All the basecoats depend on the topcoat colour,though for bright bold colour i would always recomened white.although it will take more coats to cover the finish will look better. The key is to apply lots of thin coats and have patience

i disagree that one acrylic paint is the same as another Ive sold paint for 15years and am very experienced. The 100% correct products for this job are Pre-catalised lacquers. These can come in acrylic or cellulose. Most lacquer manufacturers would recommend a grain filler,base,topcoat and a clear. if anyone is ever intrested let me know. all products can be custom filled into aerosols.

i saw a myspace message about bands playing there again. they are putting bands on Sunday's and ive heard attendances have been low Good to see another local venue puttin bands on though welcome to the forum Btw

i sell paint for a living and it's also a comon problem with emulsions and trim producs all satin finish v/silk, Soft sheen, Eggshell can be buffed to a gloss. 2400 wet and dry is really fine i would have no worries about using that i would however sand it with a litle water (wet) to create a slurry on the surface.
