Hi guys, as title. Anyone use the little B? any good? bear in mind this is for church use and I'm looking for bottom end that doesn't sound muddy or that you're listening to it with half blocked ears. Do you know what I mean here? I'm competing with keyboard, drums and 2 electro acoustic guitars so not your average church! For a cab I'm looking at the Ashdown MAG410T 4x10 Deep Blackline Bass Speaker Cab. Now these are available with blueline speakers as well so which is better? Any thoughts, comments or alternatives very welcome. Bear in mind I currently play a USA Precision or a Jazz. I don't want lots of sliders, eq's etc' because I'd never use them. KISS and all that.
ive got an abm 4x10 cab for sale if you are interested.its the next step up from ashdowns mag range.lots of top bands use them.its 600w 8 ohm cab in very good condition apart from a mark on each side of the cab.you can find it on the for sale section here, unfortunately no pictures as yet.its a bargain!
According to Ashdown, they are all "Ashdown Blueline" or "Ashdown Neo".... The speakers in my MAG 210T Deep cab (despite being "Ashdown Blueline") are a Chinese made "designed by Eminence" speaker... I just wondered if anyone had actually checked what it says on the back of the magnet??? Thanks (and have a free bump on me...) Alan
did you email them or just go on there website?if you did email them i am surprised they didnt give you more information.

if you can see the serial number the last 4 digits should tell you when it was made,eg 1001 would be october 2001.

no idea on what they are worth, but the combo is probably a uk made one from ashdowns first few years of prouduction.if it is it might be worth more than a 4 year old made in prc one.not much help i know

if you use the eq you probably wont get the pre-amp knob past 9 o'clock.i dont use the eq and i can wind the pre-amp up to about 11 o'clock, just hit the e string hard and adjust so as the needle keeps just out of the red.you can always turn up the valve drive if you need more dirt!
Seems like a normal amount of time from launch to stores to me... Also I would imagine the UK will get them first, Ashdown pretty much always has its new products out in the UK before anywhere else. I've just ordered one too!
ashdown did tell me early febuary!cant afford one yet anyway
The build quality on the LG heads are very suspect too.
agree but for that price you cant really expect nothing else.they have come down in price now so are probably worth buying.

UK made Ashdown MAG600 Evo I, Hartke LH500 or Little Giant 1000?
bassmansky replied to Delberthot's topic in Amps and Cabs
they have had this deal on for several months now,for that price its got to be a good deal with a years warranty as well. -
never tried the evo 111,but i first had a evo11 made in the prc,had a slight issue with it so changed it for a uk made one.imo the uk made one has more balls than the prc one, although ashdown said they would be exactly the same.i would not swap mine for a evo111 simply because i love the sound of mine and its a uk model!

if you liked the trace sound then go back to it.Always lots of s/h trace gear for sale on here or evil bay!Only experience with ampeg ive had is the 4x10he cab.didnt like the sound of it,thought it was quiet and a bit dull.just my opinion.

if youre lookin at ashdown cabs then it has to be the classic neo 2x10.if the LM 11 is as good as people say they are then this cab will complement it well.cab weighs 26kg so not bad for its size.Note the cab is 335mm deep not 420mm as stated on their website.

i used to have a mia fender jazz and when squier brought out the classic vibe range i tried both the 50's and 60's p-bass.i was very surprised how good they were,so surprised i bought the 60's pbass and used it for gigs instead of the fender which ive now sold.i have also tried the squier vm pbass and imo was better than a mim fender precision.Idont care whats on the headstock if it plays and sounds as good who cares.i also gig with a vintage p-bass,another good sounding bass.

theres still a good deal on a mag 600w amp online.£230 i think.good price for 600w imo.

bit unusual they did not reply again as i have had nothing but very good service from ashdown.think i have heard about these cabs before being unreliable.looking at it from ashdowns point of view, how many customers do they get who try and pull a fast one?Not that you are but they must get them.

soundslive have the new ashdown range for pre-order on their website, not bad prices either!
