    1986, lined rosewood 'board, factory fretless, natural body with black crinkle bridge and three bolt neckplate with "micro tilt". Hipshot extender on E string. Fingerboard has almost no wear.£600. Bass is in Leeds.

    Bought a lovely Stingray 5 from above Basschatter. Bass was nicer if anything than his description and photo's implied and he delivered it to me over 200 mile round trip. Very pleased.

    . Made in U.S.A 100 watt solid state combo with 15 inch speaker. Fitted with high quality castors. Pretty good condition some wear on speaker cover and scuffs on tolex covering but nothing bad. Good working order no dirty pots etc. I can't post pictures but no problem to come and take a look, have a play. £200.Combo is in Leeds.

    I love the "was I ripped off" comment of the O.P Are you being coy or do you really not realise what a bargain you have there. This bass was advertised in Bassist mag' for ages at £1600 obviously no one bought it which I find very strange, times really must be hard! What sort of price would Basschatters consider this bass would be worth? I would say at least another grand on top of what the O.P paid>

    Comes with power supply. Casing is marked a bit and the input socket for the power supply is a bit wobbly but it works fine doesn't cut out or crackle and all the pots work fine with no crackles. No box or instructions £25 plus £3.00 postage.

    Black Tiger on ebay now. Did you not see the ad' for the BT6 I referred to or are you not interested in that model? Would be interesting to know if he sold it. I can't believe it would have hung around long at that price.

    I assume you are selling this to buy a Ken Smith? There was a 1992 BT6 advertised recently in Bassist magazine for £1600 with a Ken Smith case I think. Seller was based in Devon if I remember correctly. Seems like a ridiculously low price to me!

    I once bought a bass from Music Ground in Leeds in the late 80's. It was a new Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray but I couldn't get on with the action. When the bloke in the shop played it it didn't buzz because he kept playing very fast runs on it so I told him to play sustained notes slowly to hear the buzzing and his reply was that the electric bass wasn't designed to play long notes.
