  7. Hi pinball, based on the guitars you plays as I know them ie surveyors, you would get on just fine with a stingray 5 no problem. I have had many stingray 5's over the years but recently I was getting some hunger for a 4 string stingray, In the end I got hold of a usa sub series 1, for under £400. If you want a stingray at a cheap price, get an original sub bass, there out of the californian factory, there is a sub 5 on ebay at the moment, there only 2 band eq but believe me thats all you need, and afte rall you can always stick an east in it later making it a 3band. Do not confuse this with the stirling's or stirling sub's
  8. do you have any pics of what you have
  9. where was you a week ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I've been looking into getting a d tuner for my usa sub ( not stirling sub ) I'm talking about the original series usa model, the ones in the mat finish. It seems that the BT1 hipshot is the one for musicman and G&L's, can any one clarify this and even better if any one has one they want to move on that would be great. Let me know your thoughts Mark
  11. if you need a 4 ohm compact powerful cab, this is a no brainer, this shouldn't still be here, a shop would give you that for it.
  12. its about 12lbs, but in all honesty it doesn't feel as heavy as that, I done a 21/2 hr gig last week end and i didn't really notice it, they are very well balanced

  23. Sometimes that extra bit of tension on a 35" is a bit much depending on the bass, especially if you do any slap playing, A friend of mine has the GB spitfire 35" 5 string hes having to use lighter strings than he would normally so what you gain in the longer scale you can loose with the lighter string, give me a 34" any day, but I didn't even notice it with a Peavey Cirrus, it felt right.
