[/quote] but lets say i understand some of the big costs of the more expensive companies (like fodera,MTD,ritter, etc), as they are using really expensive woods in their basses and it takes a very long time to build one, but what can be so expensive in a jazz bass? and i put sadowsky aside, because alleva costs more than twice than a sadowsky (if I'm not mistaken)

can someone tell me whats the thing with these basses? why are they so expensive jazz basses? not that i underestimate them, i just really don't know, never tried one!
