  5. part of the pubs covers deal in NZ is to "play to the buses" which means you map your night out on what time the bus tour's are hitting your particular pub. one night we got a mean beans all in brawl with two competing Hens Night Buses vicious some of it it was before 10 as well so who knows how many more venue's has the pleasure of these two sets of drunk tramps turning up on their door. If it was blokes the Cops would have halted it with batons and dogs at the first round.

  8. yes some cool lines and feels for sure side 1 of Pills and Thrills is some good stuff.
  9. I have used the Slider Strap "Harness" very good at distributing the weight of the instrument takes time to get used to problematic in tenor range generally not adjustable "midflight" potential to look like more of a cock but clearly it is less back pain after gigging with this compared to ordinary "one shoulder" strap.
  10. Gwazd's excellent book on the making of Kind of Blue has the controversy over the use of overdubs on the recording. or optional takes even. Times change for sure Bilbo

  15. Smiths and Talk Talk both blummin brilliant can I mention the Fall...again.
  16. tutor is good no need to be bass specific either in fact if it's theory you want a good argument can be made to get your lessons from a Pianist if music is chord based.... 2 more top books are Serious Electric Bass by Joe di Bartolo and The Jazz Theory Book by Marc Levine

  19. MM20 I think the Sadowky Pre-Amp is the bees knees for a Fender Jazz Bass built for it if you know what I mean.
  20. Paul Chambers on Blues by Five here is your blues Willie Weeks on Donny Hathaway "everything is everything" it feels right, nice use of the flat5 I like "Eric" by Marcus Miller too, the outro is fun Rich. how about "Smooth Operator" i've forgotten his name sorry D minor it was... needed the Steinberger to get the reach on it. righto,
