4. Hi guys. Just letting you know that Jase is a top (if not incredibly tall) bloke to deal with! Btw, how do you get on with the V-amp pro? Replacing my amp, and its on my list...
5. Cheers for the ofer Peaty, but i've never really got on with the yamaha shape... Bass wise, i'd ideally like a Musicman copy, maybe an OLP or something, with cash adjustment.
6. Yeah, it really is a good solid sound. Just not really what i need right now. Bump by the way. would be willing to trade for a PODxt Pro, power amp, anything like that.
7. Sorry mate, not my kind of thing. But cheers anyway
8. Trade wise, id be ideally lookinf for a Bass POD xt Pro, or a 4 stringer, or something like that.
by the way im willing to use this as part as a trade for a 5 or 6 string bass
Hows about a part swap for a Spector Legend 5?
13. bumpola!
14. Well, time has come to sell this on. Its just not being used, and i really need the money. So here we have a Spector Legend 5 string bass. Gorgeous wee beasty in deep red quilted maple, with black hardware. Big sound, but small weight. Getting the bad stuff out of the way, it does have a scratch on it from when a drummer threw his shoe at it. He was dealt with later. Will be addig a picture to show the scratch soon, as soon as my SD card is located. Everything else however is fine. Really sweet neck, nice and fast, but not so small as to be uncomfortable. Great sound "tone pump" preamp, with active bass and treble, and a pair of volume, one for the neck pickup, one for the bridge. The pickups themselves are EMG SSD soapbars Currently fitted with some "Boston" Straplocks, but still have the original strap buttons. Bought last year for £370 new, so looking for about £290 or offers in that region. Cheers Matty
15.
They're from Dryburgh in Dundee.
really? ok, i was very wrong. they sounded like they had a glaswegian (sp?) accent. Ah well!
16. I played a gig last year that was headlined by a then little known band from Glasgow, who would later go on to big things in the space of 12 months. They had just released "Wasted Little DJ's" It was The View. And they are just as annoying off stage...
17. Robbie man. Looking sweet as always! How you doing? I got made redundant from greenbank. It sucks ass! Matty
18. Hello there. On eBay at the mo, theres a guy in Germany selling Switch-mode power amps for £99. They are only 250watts a side at 4 ohms. Im probably looking at running each side with a 1x12" cab. I was just wondering is this would be loud enough for Vocal only PA gigs. I currently have a 2x12" cab, but the weight is stupid, and the speakers are seriously inefficient (I used to have a Little Mark II, and often had it fully open just to be heard. But through a mates 1x10, we couldn't go above 3 on it!) So with efficient 4 ohm 12" speakers, is it going to be loud enough to gig? Cheers m
19. Hello there. Thought it was about time i showed off my pair! first up is my main bass, a delightful little four string Schecter 004. It has some features of some of my fave basses, a slighly Rikki-esque body shape, cool block position markers like a 70's Jazz, a nice chunky Warwick neck, and some seriously fat sounding pick ups. its a keeper! Up next is my Spector Legend 5. Great sounding and playing bass. Hated it recently, til yesterday when i treated it to new strings and a good setup. Plays wonderfully now. These are my 2 main ones, i also have a Washburn XB100 in pieces, my first bass, that i am currently rebuilding. At some point, i may treat all 3 to a nice new preamp. Any suggestions preamp wise? cheers Matty
20. Hello chaps and chapettes! I have in my posession pretty much a full set of hard ware for a 5 string bass. I seem to remember it came off of my old Wesley, but really good quallity hardware for teh price! Nice bulky bridge, with a set of 5 small enclosed tuners, with a 3 on bass side and 2 on treble side arrangement. The soapbars are passive, and wilst not up to bart' standards, knock out a far old sound! will get pics up soon! Can do the lot for £40 delivered. Great little set if your building your first bass etc! Cheers Matty
21. Hi there guys. Bought this a couple of months ago for a RATM tribute band that never got off its feet (Finding a GOOD Zach is a difficult task...). Therefore it surplus to requirements, and in top notch condition, and with no job in the horizon, it must go! That said id be open to some tasty trades. Looking for something four string, or a Unibass and dosh, or other pedals or anything that may be intersting! Money wise, id be looking for offers in the region of about £195. This is the only pic i have right now, will get better/more up asap! cheers! m
22. Possibly one of teh EBS ones? http://www.ebs.bass.se/2007/acc.htm
23. i have mine after my distortions, but before my modulators and delays. Allows for full distortion sound at lower levels, and also violin-esque swells.
24. can you take paypal? ill have the pickups if so...
