1.
Do you mean the red pedal between the tuner and the BMS? It's a Subdecay Fembot prototype. Blendable fuzz and frequency modulator, more detail here. It needs careful tweaking to be useful; can be used just as a fuzz or as a lovely noise pedal.
Sounds cool. My one as of twenty minutes ago, just need to patch it all together now. Signal flow is going to be: Bass/Keys-> OC-2 -> Ibanez Phat Hed -> Bass Big Muff-> LS-2-> Volume -> Behringer delay -> Behringer Trem-> LS-2 loop A: Graphic EQ. LS-2 Loop B: Battered old US Big muff -> XP-100 -> Sinister Analog Soul Provider -> Micro POG -> FunkBox -> Small Stone -> MicroMetalMuff -> Volume. edit: god, that picture quality is apalling!
2. Is that a Soul provider, or an Ultra Lord?
3. Ok guys, i have a local guy on first refusal, so i'll let you know what happens. Cheers Matt
4. Would you be interested in a white one?
5. What made you the bassist you are today? Joining a band. We only have 1 guitarist, so i had to learn quickly how to fill the extra space. Cue huge pedal boards and extended bass runs. Who do you think had the biggest influences on how you play now? Probably a combination of Justin Chancellor, Chris Wolsentholme and Timmy C Where do you think you want to go from here? Back to a much more basic set up. Why do you think you want to go there? As much as i love my pedal board (and i really do) I hate being judged by it. Turning up at a gig with it, other bassists turn their noses up at it, sound men dislike it, but mostly because it weighs a ton Do you believe you have a "personality" on the bass? Possibly. If i lost my pedals though, that personality would go... Specialist question: What is it you love about that 1971 P-Bass? Hmmm, not really a P fan

best small fuzz?
I'm really after a standard sized pedal - boss size etc. Haven't seen a nano muff tho so will look out for that. Don't like the samples of the Wooly Mammoth which I've heard so far but I wouldn't mind a play with one. With the one knob fuzz - I can't read those schematics but I wouldn't mind giving it a go. Where can you learn how to make one of these? Can you recommend a book or tuturial type website?
Step by step pictorial guide: http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php...ORIALS/album21/

Synthy wah?

What about the Tychobrahe (sp?) Parachute wah. That thing as a massive sweep on it, add a big fuzz before and it might work.

best small fuzz?

MXR El Grande is supposed to be pretty damn filthy. I have a one knob fuzz. Great sound, but a bit timid for my liking. The other one to try is a Danelectro French Toast. Seriously great sounding fuzz.
15. Absolutely awful. Played to an empty room at the Hertford Marquee. Had our old drummer back depping, so he had to learn our set in 3 days, which he did, amazingly well, but not a single person turned up. it was so bad, te headliners refused to play and left at the same time as us. The band just doesnt seem to attract a crowd, and whilst i love the music, i hatespending a shed load of dosh on rehearsals, take a half day at work, travelling an hour to a gig, only for no one to come along. Methinks i need another band

Thunderbirds

Well, after seeing the Cure last night (incredible!) my Thunderbird gas has taken a massive jump forward, so im going to go for an Epiphone i think. Cheers for your help guys! M
17. Very interested in pics. Are you willing to post?
18. Hi guys Im on the look out fr a new bass, and a thunderbird has really taken my fancy. Whilst i'd love the 1976 gibson on ebay now, i cant really stretch tha far. One of my local places has an Epiphone version for £199, scond hand, which seems a bit expensive. I have also found somewhere doing the Tokai version For £249 delivered. Tht really seems like a great deal, but what are people's experiances with either th Tokai or Epiphone versions? Are there any other copies i should look at? Cheers Matt

SOLD

Can you do the AMT and morley for £100? Matt aka cheeky git
20. Its tuned in fourths because on a double bass, the stretches would be near impossible for the music being produced at the time. I have a 4 string tuned to BEAD and a four string tuned CGDA and both are great fun to play and both have their uses.
21. Are you in Shapes? Good to see another lutonian here! Edit: just saw you are in Kilto Take. I saw you at the Hat Factory once. You hae a cool sound.
22.
This high: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dangerboycrea...57607675039424/ I'm glad that this thread has reminded me that I need to get some more X-long straps.
Same here. I like it slung low, to me, it seems easier that way...
23. IS it a McGriff promotion? Sounds like his style.
