1. Looking forward to seeing this thread develop. I will see if i can find any photos of my Recurve SC 6.
2. Bump for price drop for aenima from £70 shipped to £60 shipped.
3. Cheers man. The Aenima is a great fuzz, but i am just not using a lot of fuzz just now. i have changed my mind many times about selling it but its just sitting not being used.
4.
Never force speed, it comes naturally and will be there when you need that little bit more if you play scales etc at various tempos! ChTBoner, try playing semi quavers at 440 on trombone! I feel too many people "jump" to three fingers, but thats my personal opinion! I can play Semi quavers at 185 Bpm (Not for a huge about of time though!) or 200 something with 3 fingers (not much over 220 on a good day with a solid warm up) but getting the 3 fingers up to that fludidity took some time just practise and have a solid foundation for your technique and it will all come to you!
I tend to agree with you on that one. I can play almost as fast with two as i can with three but use them for different feels.
5. I would also consider a part exchange for a programmable sansamp bass driver. I have no idea why the pictures are upside down.
6. Korg PitchBlack http://www.korg.com/pitchblack Great tuner in great condition with box and manual. Only selling because ive moved to a rack tuner, which i prefer. The going rate of these seem to be about £35 so i will take that or £40 shipped Devi Ever Aenima http://www.deviever.com/fx/bigfuzz/aenima/ Crazy fuzz. Good condition with one mark on the front. See pics. Sold with original box. £60 shipped. Payment ideally by bak transfer but i paypal is an option too.
7. Yup as others say its about practice practice practice. Its taken me a long time to get up to crazy speeds. I play in tech metal band and a death metal band so i need to play fast. have you tried using three fingers instead of two?
8. There is an amazing bass shop in Tokyo. Cant remember the name.
9. Hey. Sorry for delay. The HK is alright. Just alright. I am impressed by the build quality but the sound is pretty boring and the volume across the strings really unbalanced. I have managed to get it set up fairly well. Ultimately you get what you pay for and it will do until my new ACG is sorted. Hope this helps
10. Here is a link for the ACG build: http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Gallery/254/
11. I believe ACG are building their first fanned fret bass just now might be worth giving Alan a ring. He is building me a seven string with standard scale for my low F#. His prices are very very reasonable and you would get to come up with your own spec. Also Shuker have also done fanned frets.
12. I seem to remember some guy with a basschat (or a previous version) sticker on his rack (hehe) that looked cool i thought. I vote stickers. I wouldn't wear a wrist band personally.
13. Ive managed to find a cheap seven string to last me until ma Mango is ready. Its an HK so dont know how good it will be but we will soon find out. I pick it up next weekend.
14. If you decide to split the pre/power amp give me a shout I may be interested in the power amp.
15. Considering i dont really like the look of Tbirds or headless basses i should hate this, however i actually love it so far. Good work.
16. WOHOO. About time mate. I hope it arrives safely and is everything you wanted.
17.
How much is your AGC looking like so far? I'd love too should th oppertunity arise thanks man! If your ever in the 'deen with the beast i'll take you up on that
PM'd
18. Hi. I have only played a seven once it was a Conklin. It was a nice bass. I would suggest you consider going the custom route it does work out cheaper than you think. The beauty is if you are picky like me you can have it exactly as you like. When iget mine you are more than welcome to give it a blast.
19.
Doesn't sound like a giant leap forward to me. Unless you only play 1/2 hour sets!
Well all the gigs I play are half an hour sets tbh. In the future if we get to do headlining tours it may go up to an hour. I only play original music. So I guess it suits my needs but not everyones. Just as well this custom bass is for me then!!!!
20. Without wanting to turn this thread into why do people order a custom bass thread..... some people cant get what they need from a conventional bass maker. I needed a 7 string left handed bass. I am sure people will argue the usual: Jaco, macca etc etc only needed four strings.... Well good for them but i need 7 to achieve what i am aiming for. Nothing wrong with 4 strings, nothing wrong with 104 strings as far as i am concerned.
