1. Geilerbass plays with Tomera who are up and coming in the tech/prog metal scene not sure if he is a full time pro though.
2. I don't think it will help that much as it requires a different approach. It will help your ear though.
3. Such a cool bass I have always wanted one but alas cant afford it.
4. I always wanted one as the eyes on the pic of the dog lights up and that is cool.
5. Sounds good Marcus. Keep us updated.
6. Its true Basschat does rock and its my favourite forum.
7.
If I wanted a chorus pedal, that's what I'd go for.
+11111111. I had a boss CEB3 i didn't like it too subtle for me i'm sure i have had others i would need to think.
8. I would actually love to see that as i am a big To-mera fan but London is a bit of a mission. Let me know next time you play Notts or Newcastle and i will be there.
9. I remember when i played my first gig for the band im in and we had not practiced enough and i didnt know the songs well at all. One of the guitarists say if you forget just hammer open C as we play drop C and almost everything is in C so i cant go wrong.
10. Yup happens to me sometimes, because i play in a metal band i just rock out hard for a few seconds till it comes back to me. Works every time.
11.
Nah, I only have a gigging board. I don't see the point having it if I'm not going to use it really. Just laid out my new-look small(er) board last night. Kept more stomps than I'd have liked, but can't be helped!
I guess my thinking is that i want a small board for gigging as its easy to transport less to go wrong/problem solve and my board changes a fair bit depending which band and what set we are playing. For example There is no reason for me to have both my Ultra fuzz and my hyper fuzz on the gigging board as i can just use the Ultra fuzz but in my experimental jam band the boss is indispensable but i only play in the experimental band maybe a couple of times a month. I think it will work for me anyway YMMV etc.
12. I think having two boards is the way to go. A gigging board and a fun/experiment board. I am looking at doing something similar as there is only a few effects i use live but i love messing around and getting new sounds. Good work and nice board Higgie.
13. Might be worth contacting Yamaha then you know you are getting the right tool in the right size for the job.
14. I have a Badass 2 on one of my Jazz copies and there was an improvement over the standard piece of tin so i would fit one again. I like the Hipshot one on my ACG well i think its Hipshot. Edit Yeah its a Hipshot type A. http://store.hipshotproducts.com/cart.php?...etail&p=130
15. I'm always have mixed feelings when someones bass breaks and they want to borrow one. Lucky for me i'm a lefty and no one ever wants mine. On topic i don't really no what to suggest but he would defiantly be off my xmas card list.
16.
I tried to play 'fretless lines' for months with no luck. Then I took my fretless to a rehearsal and simply played my usual fretted lines albeit without frets. That's how I learned fretless technique and intonation. Haven't looked back (or used frets) since. Good luck Chris
This is what i did but i still play fretted. They are very different to play but for me i always think jumping in at the deep end is a good way to learn. I can play our whole set fretless or fretted without having to think about it.
17.
It is actually that good if not better best overdrive and amp simulator I've ever used, not that I've ever had many pedals or anything you know.
Really? That is a bold statement I will need to check this pedal out.
18. I have an EBS classic and i have nothing to complain about great cab.
19.
I did a crazy deal and got mine for £600!! The LEDs were cool, but that was about all! Stank of play doh!
