That's a nice ACG. Does it have the asymmetrical neck? I love the neck on my 6.

Also to back up bigredxs point Alembic choose different woods which can allow them to create shorter scale six strings and still maintain playability. For example ebony in the neck.

Extended scale helps if you want you strings a bit tighter but overall playability it more effected by the way the bass sits on the body i feel. edit. Balls should have read what bigredx said.

A great music shop is Hotroxs in Nottingham, Its only small and only really sells effects and other bits but the guy there is great. Anyone who is interested in trying out different effects should go there.

Don't know if we've ever had this thread before and a search didn't really show anything up. The other day my band and i were out in Notts at a club night at the pub Seven and the DJ played one of our new songs. It was very weird but also felt like a great achievement. Have you experienced this? if so where? and how was it?

I bought one of those unbranded Jazz copies of ebay a few years ago in gold. It was a great bass but for fun i pimped it a bit. I changed the pickups for seymor duncans basslines I added a badass 2 bridge and i striped the finish off back to natural. I also changed the scratch plate from n off white to a black which looks much better with the natural grain. Got to be honest i don't no why i took the gold finish off it was well cool it doesn't look half as good as it did. I will have a look for a picture.
