how heavy is the hardcase SK8? i fancy one of these but i walk to and from practice which takes 1/2 hour as i dont drive. My case is fine just now but i am being suduced by the PT -

boss ceb3 nice chorus good for fretless but im not using it much so it can be moved on.£35 marshall guvnor reissue great pedal underrated i think can go from a smooth overdrive to a nce crunch. in fair condition £20 behringer bass overdrive £5 not a bad sound i think its similar to a odb3 Feelers tonefactor mule. Great distortion but i fancy a change so i MAY move this on.offers Morley dual bass wah good wah for bass i find it quite subtle tho. offers i will add pics if there is any interest. prices do not include shipping and will be send by recorded del. Except the mule which will be sent insured.

yeah i think its great value tbh as its a two piece bridge and everything. When you think about how much a badass bridge costs £50 for a 4 string one and this 2 piece bridge only costs 62 euro for a 6 string thats pretty dam good. The warwick tuners are good i agree i think they ended up being just over 40 euro for 6. I think they are just as good as my groover tuners on my fretless and they would have been more expensive. I will either sell on the hardware or keep it for a project anyone interested in it?

Thanks for the positve comments i too am looking forward to this. I will keep this updated and do like a photo diary thing like has been done in the past. ive always been a big fan of black hardware but i realised the other day not one of my 8 basses or 2 guitars have it.

I think it depends on the bass maybe. For this bass with dark wood i def think black is the way to go. Interested to see what others think.

Not really a build diary i guess but what the hey. I have just ordered new black hardware for my corvette standard 6 as i think the chrome looks cheap and tacky and the black will look more classy. i have ordered new: bridge 2 piece 6 machine heads new black knobs and new strap lock ends. total including shipping 130 euro i will update when i get the parts. here is a pic of the bass in its current state.

my rick turner has little white lines for which each fret should be on the side i think its very welpful. I can try to get a pic if you want.

kev a tip: dont think of a 5 string like a 4 with an extra string. Get some music that is written for a 5 and start learning that or find ways to play your bass lines using the B it will come in time but it takes time. just my 2 pence

you should def get a black headstock face if you can. I would not go for vintage tint i think it would look a bit out of place.

intrested to see pics of that finish i love black basses but theyre not very interesting so having a trans black could be a winner.

I thought this was interesting and great value. Cant think where they got the design from and not sure how relible it would be. Also 500ma for 8 outputs dosnt seem like that much. Hi Just got my bass out of the bag for the first time since the gig on sat and the neck has shifted so now all the strings are aginst the first few frets. It got left in the car i think but i thought it would be ok cause it was an indoors car park. i will leave it tonight out the case see if it remedies its self if not i guess its going to the sho. ive adjusted truss rods before but never anything this extreme so would rather have someone who nows ewhat theier doing do it.
