I was gigging with 8 i dont know what went wrong havnt looked i just pulled my lead out and went straight to the amp not ideal but it was ok. It taught me an important lesson triple check everything.
ok after last night and my whole pedal boardd going down im looking for a pedal that has a true bypass loop i can put all my effects in so if anything goes wrong i dont cut out. Ideally i want one that can also select between 2 instrument inputs.
Anyone got an idea if such a thing exsists?
I may email red onion see if they could make one
it was immense we just won our heat of battle of the bands cant believe it really.
my pedal board died and i had no bass for half the first song and i whacked my bass off the roof but it dosnt matter now.
Well i feel the need to defend newer warwicks
I have just got one. a 2005 i think and i cant see anything wrong with it at all construction wise and i have an alembic.
The only thing i hate is the terrible just a nut design which is sharp and gets in the way a crude effort to copy alembics i think could be wrong tho.
I have never played an older Warwick and maybe they sound better but i am talking from a build quality mine is hard to fault.
Some people like to have compression at the end of the signal instead of at the start then you are not compressing your other effects but try it both ways and see what you like.
My band will be playing in manchester at the above date.
We need to pre sell a number of tickets to impress managment and the like so if you can come it would be great.
there is a link to our myspace in my sig.
thanks
Andrew
yeah but the warwick which is my main gigging bass has a passive switch. Is that why you say that cause the huckleberry reacts badly with actives?
I dont no if i will like it or not but thought id give it a go.
Ok ive only recently got a setup with valves in. I have an svp preamp into an ada power amp. I can get a really nice overdriven tone by making the peak/mute light come on.
My question is am i damaging the preamp by doing this? Will i break the valves? i have read lots about getting an overdriven sound from a valve amp but if its ok to do then why is there the light?
Sorry for the total newbie question.
I like the idea a lot but it might be quite far for some maybe a bit far for me.
If we were to do this i could offer quite a few things for people to try.
On a side note people should bring their boards to the notts bash.
Ok/distortion and fuzz im using in our set just now: tone factor mule, marshall guvnor reissue, boss hyper fuzz and EH big muff.
Ive got incoming a mojo hand cream pie, a tone factor huckleberry and an ibanez metal pedal.
I use a six in my band just now. because we tune down the c string allows me to jump to play some melody easily when i need to drop down low quick.
Other than that why the hell not
cheddatom definatley bring your board i would really like to hear that thing in action i wil bring mine as well should have quite a few nice things on there by then.
