2.
What do you mean by that? Coating goes of quickly?
Yeah, bits of the colour will start to come off leaving you with silver strings around where you play the most. I found this would happen even when playing fingerstyle.
3. definitely! Then again, he might have been waiting for you to pay... I hate it when sellers don't get in contact!
4. seems like a decent enough deal but I'm always tempted to say have a looks at Ashdown gear. At that price (£300) you can get some MAG equipment, or if you look second hand you might even be able to start to assemble a cab/head amp system
5. Always good to have another lefty, love the ATKs, they're in quite high demand atm!
6. dr black beauties methinks! Only problems is that with the coloured strings the coating tends to flake a tad...
7. The wrath of Wayne strikes again!
8.
6) The "Market Place" is great, but there are some areas that could be improved. The "Recycling Unwanted Items" forum has a "Completed" sub-forum – why not extend this section wide. You wouldn't need to have separate sub-forums in each forum really, one forum for the whole lot would probably do. Over at the iLounge forums (which I help moderate) we let people lock their own topics in the "Classifieds" forum (the equivalent of the "Market Place" here) and all locked topics are automatically moved in to the "Archived Classifieds" forum. Threads that haven't been posted in in a month (from memory, it could be a slightly different period of time) are also moved in to the archive to keep the main forum for listings that are likely to still be relevant. I would think that should be possible in IP.Board as well as vBulletin.
I like the sound of that! Would make things much clearer.
9. take it you wouldnt be interested in a p/ex for a 2x10 Tech?
10. to be honest I'd always go for name machineheads, not much more pennies but you can count on em
11. looks satin to me... Love satin stains
12. +1 for Wizard, they'll do custom winds for no extra charge. Just email Andy and tell him what sound you want and he can wind a pickup to do it!
13. nice one! Glad it arrived, that green stain is lovely!
14. weird, I've never had any problems there before!

Hello,,

Welcome, if you want to try out some gear you've come to the right place!
16. I'd only do it if it was asstastic and didn't work. To be honest, I'd bring a terminal bass to a gig to keep round back and destroy on the last song. might be fun.
