1. the yammie bb series is lovely! Also for not much money the squiers are superb basses these days. The vintage modified jazzes are the ones most recommended IIRC
2. good lord, bet that packs a bit of bottom end!
3. m old drummer insisted that you couldnt go from 4/4 to 3/4 in the same song.
4. would help to explain the price Actually, christ imagine it. 5 octaves. Awesome. Complete destruction of playability though
5. dissapointed with the lack of lefties in here....
6. has anyone ever told you you look like steve harmison in that pic Jesso?
7. seem to remember bassfan was looking for a blue one...
8. i think you should get it chris otherwise I'm gonna have to buy it and string it lefty
9. its wierd that I'm now considered that guy who'll buy anything I'd be interested though certainly, Fancied a shuker for a while though dont have the funds to buy one outright
10. man that's flexible! Can't believe that. Only played once too, why is she in possession of this good a bass (not worth the price tho, obv ) if she wasn't sure she wanted to play it anyway?
11. oi, I got dibs on that when it was originally for sale
12. dont do it biggsy! the recession hits the lefties the hardest Can't actually justify that statement, but I know its true
13. interparcel is the bomb!
14. I'll generally go for good brands but to be honest thats only because they truely are better. Also, as a lefty the best cheapo instruments are truely asstasstic. Saying that I was playing instruments that were worth £800+ and now I'm very happy with a £500 instrument (the $$). Its value for money personified!
15. i dont think GAS quite covers that. Whats the consensus on a good price for it?
16. i agree, they lock in a lot better and they have much better breakdowns and changes of pace. Awesome!
17. oh its amazing, listened to it on loop for the last week! Superb... glad we've got someone with good taste in music on the forum
18. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=44725&hl= lets see how this runs- if it doesn't then we'll know if its a good idea or not
19. I get the idea of this acutally, the other bass forum i used to be on had a "casual" thread where people just chatted about day to day life. The idea of off topic- in my mind- is merely to post threads that aren't bass realated, but people have taken it to mean that they can go off on one in any topic posted there. I'd have thought that a casual thread would be quite a good idea. It would function similarly to a drunk thread, but of course you wouldn't have to be drunk In fact, stuff it, I'm starting a casual.
20. I'd always be worried about taking the facing off a bass, you'll done a bloody good job on that!
21. not really a sale, but he gave me a lift back from the harrogate bass bash which was really nice of him! Awesome guy!
22. but I love punching songs into drummers, its one of the best things about being in a band!
23.
ha ha nah .. we're neither of us drinkers, though he does like to start packing up a tad too fast after the last chord so maybe that's it..... Actually a metronomic drummer, click track or drum box would be horrible... No feel ..
I agree actually, if there's no slight variation in speed its too robotic in my view.
