Well the older ones are still great, but all I thought is that once the new ones come out (no idea when btw, maybe in a month or two) the value of the first editions might drop if you want to get a bargain!

says "alpha d500" and the rest is obscured by solder, I'd assume thats 500k. There now seem to be certain grounding issues and most of the other pots don't function in quite the same way, can I assume that (if fitted correctly) replacing the pot will solve most of this?

just need to work out what pot to replace it with and where i need to go to get it. Unless there's a way to reattach a spindle?
