3.
For me it started off as the belief that better gear could make me a better player.
This I also enjoy oggling my new basses until something shinier catches my eye.

8. still dont under stand how a bass of that config, no matter how well its set up can be worth over a grand. Get a Shuker for the love of god
I think I'd be able to part with any of my basses if something better came along. S.P.
I'd probably agree with that, I dont get much of an emotional attachment. Never understood people who'll keep their first bass even if they've got much better ones, i sold my PK40 for £20 and was happy for that, it was a blight on all bass-kind.
13. ah screw it, had a look for you, here's a good thread for your question: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...4&hl=traben
14. welcome! I know of at least one traben, was for sale a few months back- try the search engine on the top right and see if you get any results from it. As for an amp, get a cheapo head and buy my cab
15.
You're asking me to assist with some juggery- pokery? I'm OK with the juggery (how is the missus btw?) but I'm a bit uncomfortable in relation to the pokery - we should talk privately later. However, if you need help involving pickups, wiring etc., no problem. Having retired from the retail side of things, I'm often asked if I will handle queries - my stock reply is "certainly not - I'm heterosexual".
Comedic gold, i can already see you being a great asset to the forum!
16. I can see this thread going into the hundreds veeeeery quickly- gonna be first to call sticky for when it builds up momentum!
17. I'm liking this a lot more than i expected too- all it needs now is a checkered pickguard and you'd be in punk heaven!
18. mmm bass on bass action. Every man's dream!
19. A $$ will never approach a stingray for the tone a stingray gets with its bridge pickup- and its playability! Never known a more slappable bass and fingerstyle is a dream. Its all about the neck pickup with the $$, its more flexible and does most things to a good extent so I suppose it would be best used if you need to change your tone for each song. Want me to take it off the list in the meantime?
20. What i find is that the the people i play with will often be more out of time than me, so to being able to adapt your timing to the drummer's wayward one is all the easier for not having a solid sense of time stuck in me
21.
Isn't it part of Fender's new Relic Range? Comes in a special crispy finish for that 'Hendrix got hold of it at Montery' look and feel...
was just looking at the fender site to see if i can find them but can't see any at all. Saying that, on the front page was a little news clip thing saying "customized Toyota Tundra pickup" and i started wondering when toyota made guitar parts. Safe to say they were refering to a truck. I'm such a phool sometimes
22. I agree with paypal and ebay being ridiculous, especially as they are the same F-ing company. Why charge us twice?! Annoys me so much
23. never thought you'd pass up the chance to promote spectors tho?
