4. quick heads up guys, this looks like quite a good deal: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OLP-Musicman-Stingra...=item41546c78b3
5. Think you don't need a price unless its for a straight-up sale. As I understand it, if it's up for trade it's fine without a price.
6. Jebus I'm starting to realise why he's finding it so difficult to sell
7. Haha glad you like it! Never really thought that the bass was too quiet before- I'll have to have another listen. I'll have to let our singer know about his bit- to be honest I think he was having a bad day or something, his vocals are usually nop notch to my ears! We've got a whole album on there too: http://march.bandcamp.com/album/start-a-fire Loads of great tracks on there (personal favourites are Shark Tooth and Start a Fire) <shameless plug> A quite resonable £5 to download, but you can listen to them for free </shameless plug>
8. Hi guys, my band March have a new track out and thought I might share it with y'all http://march.bandcamp.com/track/the-cut Would love any feedback at all!
9. Have you checked out the Surine 7 string on leftybass Andy? Might be a tad pricey but he's been trying to sell it for ages now
10.
I used to love my Thumb, it was an excellent bass. About as good as a "band" bass as I've ever had, it just sounded great in a mix. However, with my love of slap sounds, it ended up being moved on. Still a fantastic bass though and one I look back most fondly on.
First I've heard of someone not liking the slap sound on a Thumb! What was it about it that didn't work for you?
11. The idea of a lefty 7 string ACG is making me happy in my pants
12. There's something about them that I love that I just can't get out of other basses. My current Thumb BO4 neck dives like a bastard and I've got to keep my thumb firmly planted on the pickup to keep the neck at the right angle for my playing style (hmm, maybe thats where the name came from...)- but yet I would never ever consider getting rid of it as little annoyances like that just make me love it more. It's flawed ergonomically but I am very willing to deal with those flaws as the sound is just impossible to get out of other brands. The only thing I'd change it for is another Warwick (maybe a Streamer )
13. glad to see the MXR M80 catching up with the Sansamp (this is strange, I feel like I should be placing bets?)
14. Seemed to me that Andy was being pretty upfront about this, don't know why certain members have suddenly descended on him? Surely we can keep it to PMs in the future? MY 2p
15. To be fair, even if the new price is wrong, £140 is around the going rate for these second hand IIRC so it's probably a moot point
16. I'm probably wrong but that looks like the 12" version to me? Either way, these are fantastic amps and well worth a punt for practicing or even small pub venues from personal experience

18. only problem is that there aren't a huge amount of quality Les Paul / SG basses. See if he'll take some other shapes and then he's got a load of fantastic basses for that price range.
19. I'd recommend anything by Ashdown personally, their Electric blue combos are pretty decent for the money. Should be loads of stuff for under £200 in the amps for sale section of this site too
20. Well I'm sorry but I have no idea how I'd package this cab- maybe you've got some family or friends in the area who would drop it off for you? Just a thought.
21. I think it might be the angle you're plucking with as mentioned above, you'll want to aim to play across the string instead of through it towards the body. If you pluck as you would normally but in slow motion you'll be able to see if you're dragging the string to the fretboard with your stroke, and if so you can compensate by hitting it more laterally. Also it might be that you've got your amp at the same volume as when you're playing with a pick- a pick is naturally louder than fingers in my experience so it might just be that you're having to play harder to get the same volume. It'll all come with practice though!
22. bumpacles. Will happily consider part ex against a rack case/rack tuner/rack compressor (or even all three!)
23. (From the questions bit at the bottom) "You should get 2 grand at least" Hmm. Not sure about that.... especially if the electronics are buggered (as the ad hints towards) Nice lookin bass though
