Warwick_Official replied to Warwick_Official's topic in Introductions
Thanks for the kind words! You can bet I won't be leaving the forum! There will soon be an account under my name 'Garey'.... Please be patient during the transition for who whoever takes my position. Warwick Official will still be here to "assist you in any way"!!!! Thanks again! -
Well - I wanted to let everyone know that I've made the decision to move on to another position. I'll be leaving Warwick so that I can work closer to home, and to better suit the needs of my family. I will not be posting as Warwick Official anymore - I thank everyone for the welcome I recieved, and a great time while I was here as an official rep for such a great company. I am honored to have had the opportunity to work for one of the best musical instrument manufacturers in the world - and glad to have 'met' you all! Its been a great time - Once again - THANK YOU!!! Best regards, Garey

That is an absolutely beautiful Jazzman, Joe86! Very nice grain, and such a versatile instrument. Thanks for sharing!

Those are two gorgeous basses, and the photo is fantastic! Thanks for sharing, and enjoy you new arrival!

Well, John B Williams uses EUB entirely in his presentation. John Pattitucci is a master of the upright, but I'm not yet sure what his course will be in detail. And last year Antonella Mazza's presentation was done using EUB and electric both. Steve Bailey is also an amazing upright player - so perhaphs in the free time you could seek out some further details from either of them! Thanks!

Andy Irvine to teach at the London Bass Guitar Show this March
Warwick_Official replied to Warwick_Official's topic in Events
Thanks! Unfortunately I won't be there...but I agree, it would be great to meet up sometime. Have fun, and be sure to catch Andy's clinic - as well as checking out all the new gear! -
The London Bass Guitar Show at the Olympia exhibition Center in London, England, is one of the biggest events of the bass playing world. Each year, Bass players the world over arrive in droves in order to test-drive the latest instruments and amplifiers, talk shop, and of course, meet their idols in the flesh. This year, the perfect event for all low-end lovers will take place from March 2nd to March 3rd and the crème de la crème of the bass player scene will be attending. One of them is Warwick product specialist, clinician and bassist extraordinaire Andy Irvine, who has already traveled a large part of the world with his "The Sound of Bass Clinic Tour". The seasoned professional musician can be heard on more than 50 recordings, and also recently joined the roster of bass professors at Bootsy Collins' "Funk University". Andy will be teaching a master class on Saturday, February 2nd, which should not be missed by any fan of bass lessons that are both profound and fun. His clinics are not only practical and in-depth, but also always entertaining, as his passion and sense of humor always shine through. Andy not only believes in teaching every bass player the importance of being able to play every style authentically. Furthermore, one of Andy's main goals is to encourage everyone studying the bass to develop their own voice on the instrument. Andy's teaching methods range from profound Q&A sessions to playing examples and impromptu jams. Andy’s tips and anecdotes, coming straight from his career as a professional musician, are also invaluable advice for any bass player. Another important part of Andy's clinics is the wide variety of instruments and amplifiers made by Warwick, ranging from the RockBass models to the one-of-a-kind German-made instruments, and from the compact BC line to the new 1000 watt wonder LWA 1000. Furthermore, Andy is in perfect company at the London Bass Guitar Show 2013. Warwick Signature Artist Jonas Hellborg, the designer of our powerful and flexible Warwick Amps, Warwick Endorser and soul master Andrew Levy, and Warwick Player Guy Pratt, who is not only known as a first-class session and live player but also as an outstanding humorist, will also be attending the event. As a result, lovers of the Warwick Growl will definitely be getting their money’s worth! We will be seeing you in early March, at the London Olympia Exhibition Center! Mr. Foxen, I will get all the specs from our engineer, including bandwidth...the THD is 0.003% unlike some of the other Class D amps on the market that are 3%, 5%, or even 10% THD! I will update as soon as I have further detailed information. Thanks!
-
Actually, we are using an entirely new output section, that is not an IcePower module. And unlike our other Class D amps on the market we offer a genuine 1000 watt output at 4 ohms. Most other Class D amps use the IcePower modules, which are either 125w @ 2.7ohms or 250w @ 2.7ohms. This amp is loud, and has punch with a ton of low end. It will easily keep up with 2 half stack guitar amps and a loud drummer! Also, the wooden sides are removeable for the placement of rack ears.
