  1. Stellartone ToneStyler passive tone pot. Apparently works with some sort of dark magic as it gives 10 distinct tones from really bright to deep low dub stuff in a passive tone pot. I took it out of my MTD CRB and belive it was originally fitted at Bass Direct. Great little thing but I just prefer traditional style tone knob! £50 Inc UK postage.
  2. Bought a solderless loom for an mtd crb from John. Great comms and advice and speedy service. Easy to fit and sounds great. I'd happily buy again. Cheers Steve
  3. Bought a dimarzio P pickup from Ash. Great comments and all as described. Will happily trade again. Cheers Steve
  4. First gig back was on Friday at the Blue Lagoon in Bristol. Felt really tight for the first few songs but after that was a belting gig. Really good fun. Realised how much I'd missed it. Back on it this Friday at the Birkett Tap in Bristol.
  5. I've got the blue version of this and has become my main gigging bass. Tried against a Sire and Mex Fender and the g&l had the best tone to my ears. Great bass for the money. Have a bump. GLWTS
  6. What about Muse as a 2000s rock band that sell out stadiums and Royal Blood as one for the next generation coming from small gigs to 3 no. 1 albums headline arena and festival tours?
  7. Sounds like a nice bass. From the ones I've played G&L Tributes are great basses (I use a JB most of the time) and deserve to be in the same bracket as Sire's as best value for money basses out there.
  8. Still hoping to make it. Assuming I still have the same stuff as now I can bring: Basses Yamaha bb1100s G&L JB Tribute (Tuned d std) Shergold Marathon MTD CRB with tone styler preamp (Tuned D std) Tobias Toby Pro Hohner B2A Encore Fretless P with Roto tapewounds Tanglewood Elf Amp Bugera Veyron T Barefaced Super Twin T Various pedals Cheers Steve
  9. Looks like I'm free will try to make it down from Brizzle!
  10. I've got the T and have had it for over a year now and it sounds great and no issues. I was able to give it a run through the barefaced super 12 t I picked from here for the first time with the band on Thursday and it sounded fantastic.
  11. Thank you. I'm tempted to keep it as it sounds great but I never play the B string and the spacing is a bit close for my clumsy fingers.
  12. Final price drop to £250 collected. Hard case £20 extra. Postage (UK only) extra depending on your requirements etc. No offers please as I'll keep if for any less than this. Still open to trades as above.
  13. Sold
  14. Open to sensible offers especially if you can collect.
  15. 2 x Hartke Hydrive 112 HD cabs. For sale. Only selling as ive just bought a Barefaced Super 12T and can't keep them all. Pretty much mint condition. 16. Just bought a Barefaced Super 12T from Phil. Excellent comms and great postage. Top bloke. Trade with confidence. Cheers Steve
  17. Couple of things I'm interested in so price drop to £290 plus postage or £275 if you collect and don't want the hard case.
  18. That is rather lovely but out of my price range at the moment. GLWTS
  19. Hi @Marc S It is light weight 3.6kg or 8 lb according to my bathroom scales. String spacing is 9mm at the nut and 16mm at the bridge. Please let me know if you need any more info.
  20. Very nice 5 string Hohner B Bass from the late 80s/early90s with a through neck and active/passive electrics. Bass is in good condition for it's age and has had a new set of Rotosound 45-130 strings, along with a set up and electrics checked and a coat of lemon oil on the fretboard. It plays very nicely and sounds great. It does have a few scuffs which I have tried to show mostly near the jack socket but they are only cosmetic and the neck is in excellent condition. Only selling as I bought it on a whim thinking I needed a 5 string and it's just reminded me I don't get on with 5 strings. Collection from Downend in Bristol preferred and can try and sort a socially distanced trial. I can look to courier at buyers cost and risk. I will include a hard case in the cost to make this safer. I'd prefer a sale but will consider trades especially for a Barefaced compact cab or possibly other barefaced cabs or interesting 4 string basses of similar value (no black basses though as I have enough already ta). Trades in order of interestingness; Cold hard cash Retrovibe Renegade or Vantage Epiphone Thunderbird Pro (passive ones) Nice Jazz with block and bound neck
  21. I've been dabbling with davinci resolve too for my band. Its free and I've picked it up pretty quickly and there are plenty of you tube help videos too if you get stuck. Does everything I need.
