Barefaced retro 210 bass cab for sale. Very good condition except for a bit of Barefaced Tolex peel on the back which is common on these cabs. Great sound very loud and light. Comes with a Roqsolid cover. This is 4 ohm version as confirmed by an email from Alex and Barefaced. 31x63x33 cm 14 kg. Up to 800 watts power handling. More specs on the barefaced website. Collection preferred from Downend in Bristol. Any trials welcome. Any qs please let me know.

Got to say I think the sound is pretty good from the clips using the zoom as sound. Thanks for all the comments. I've just bought a 2nd hand Zoom from fee bay and waiting for it to come. Thought being if I like it I may upgrade to the 4k if not nothing much lost. Basically I want to to be able to do some quick stuff to put out to keep our profile up. Our guitarist does some great sound work but it takes a while so a few quick and dirty videos should work well. I'll try and post something when I had a chance to record something. Cheers

Got to say I think the sound is pretty good from the clips using the zoom as sound. Definately something to think about. Probably leaning towards a 2nd hand dslr at the moment. Cheers for all the comments.

Thanks for the comments. So from what you've said the Q2N doesn't have as good a sound as the H1N which is a shame as all the blurb seems to say it is Zoom sound quality with a camera too. Ive been tempted by the simplicity of the Zoom but think I may get more use from a DSLR and our singer has the tascam equivalent of the H1N so that may be an option. I dont mind editing it and have been teaching my self davinci resolve so mot too fussed if best sound and best video are on the same file as long as I can edit them together.

I'm thinking of getting one of these as ive started dabbling with a few videos for the band in lockdown and think it could be good for recording some rehearsals too. Seems to have good reviews. Has anyone used one of these or would a 2nd hand DSLR and external mic be a more practical buy? Cheers for any thoughts.

I've got a Taiwan made bb1100s which I've had for 25 years. They are amazing basses but sell for cheaper than they are worth. If you can get one for c £400 they are worth every penny and you should get your money back if you don't like it. P J pickups. Active/passive electrics allows for a whole range of tones, but that being said I use mine active P pickup with everything on full and it sounds great. Add to that a high mass bridge, comfortable neck (more p than J but somewhere between both) what more would you want!

I have done before but as others say where is the fun. For my current band I am tuned DGCF but also need one in standard for other things and learning songs. A spare for each would be nice and I probably ought to get a fretless and even though I don't like 5 strings I probably should have one and I'd like a Stingray and a Ric etc.

any other recurring questions from gigs you are missing (or not) during lockdown?

OK, so I've had a play today as I had a bass part to record. Used the bassman sim which sounded cool to me with my G&L JB. also plugged my mic in through a an xlr to jack cable and dabbled through a few of the pre amps which are needed and the output is very low otherwise. I found the DI+ worked best but could do with a built in auto tune for my voice! I'm sure a proper singer would have other views but I can see it woking for what I need. Will post some clips when I've got them sorted.

Started in a new band in January after 3 or 4 years off playing and managed 2 good fun pub gigs before covid kicked in. It made me realise what I'd been missing. I think they are worth it but as others have said as long as it is a decent venue.

I'd say to keep your eye out for one 2nd hand if you can the amount you get for £70 to £100ish is quite amazing. Loads of FX, amp models, tuner, xlr out, headphone out and audio interface. The only negstive I can see is that the FX don't sound quite as good as an analogue pedal to my ears e.g. comparing my Big Muff to the sim on the Zoom but for sheer volume of tools, cost and portability they are amazing.

Zoom must have their reasons for leaving an audio interface off the B3N but i have the old B3 and it is a really handy feature. If it helps here is a track I recorded through my B3. Its not fully mixed yet but should give an idea of bass tone. I used a G&L JB tribute tuned DGCF both pickups and tone fully open, into a Bugera Veyron Tube with the Zoom in the FX loop to get the Bugeras pre amp tone with no fx or models from the Zoom. I'm sure a focusrite is a better audio interface but to record some bass tracks the Zoom is great. Boys of Summer new bass new drums.mp3

Yup. Done a couple of tracks like this and I've found its been a good way to practice too. I picked up a zoom b3 for about £70 2nd hand and its a great piece of kit. Originally bought as my new band need some fx I didn't have and it seemed a cheaper and more flexible way of doing stuff but since lockdown started I realised it worked as an audio interface so we have been doing a few bits of recording. Its really easy to use and I've been using audacity but am tempted to try sonar too. Audacity recognises the zoom so its just plug in and go. I use the bassman amp sim but the SVT one is good too but there are a few to choose from. I've also put it in my amps fx loop with no fx on to get its pre amp tome which sounded good to my ears. I will say I'm not doing any more than recoding a bassline as I then send it to our guitarist who does all the mixing and stuff.
