Hiya, Hope the following helps and I'm not repeating anything said (haven't read the whole thread) My tuppence: haven't tried the diamond so can't comment. Own and use as 'always on' an MB compressore, just switch up the setting for anything from a soft evening of dynamics to give the skinnier strings a bit more gain all the way to having fat, punchy, big bellied globs for notes so yeah it's brill! But for slap it wouldn't be my first choice as even with a quick attack set it doesn't do peak limiting nearly as well as the MXR M87 did when I spend half an hour with it. Ideally I'd have one of them as well to kick in when desired after the MB in the chain but with the budget for one only I got the MB as it has more character than the MXR and can 'warm' up your tone so was more what i was looking for if i have to choose. The MXR is more clinical in its sound: no colouring beyond the natural thickening of reducing dynamics, and can catch the fast transients of slapping better. So it depends whats more your bag man. Do you have any good stores where you can take your bass in and try a few out? There's really no substitute!

Hi Peaps, So (a) I'm really not sure about letting this go and (b ) I have a trade feeler meet up this weekend on it and anything else would therefore be tentative until after then if things don't work out right for both parties. so for these two reasons I am put this up as a feeler only for now. Many of you will know this bass: Original Custom for BCer then went through a couple more of us before hitting me. It's still mint btw our very own Chris2112 did a great review which includes pics that can be read here...... http://www.acguitars...uk/Gallery/171/ The very simple reason is that the kind of music I play with it, I want to play on a 5 or 6 string. I do however LOVE this thing so for me to let it out of my firm grip the 5/6er would need to be up my street and of the same calaber. So value about 1300. Looking for something that will work well on RnB, HipHop, Ballads, that kinda stuff. Active or passive considered. Cheers all, Ash

Warwick Streamer Double Buck $$ 5 String - £760 - bargain!
Ashwood1985 replied to Esteban's topic in Basses For Sale
Yeah I think it bemuses anyone who has played them! So long as they are not limited to playing very slim necks. It's been said a lot but the range of tones this can get going feels limitless and I for one found a good six or seven settings I would regularly dial in that I particularly liked. You can't say that about many basses. Plus the precision in the construction on mine was absolutely spot on so it played as smooth as they come. I know a month feels like a long time when you've got a loved bass up FS here but consider it's generally slow at the moment due to the economic situation as well as the time of year approaching christmas. Hang in there pal - I'm sure someone will pick it up in the right time and will be very happy for it! -
No problems at all dealing with Paddy - a credit to the world of basschat!!!

Hi people, Up is my Bass IQ. Non true bypass version: still dead silent though as anyone who has owned a buffered EBS pedal will tell you. Comes complete with box and papers and velcro on the bottom. I'm the original owner and its been indoors until this year where i have taken it out to about 3 gigs! Hence why I'm selling: to be honest with myself it's a toy for home as I'm not using it for live or recording at the moment and I could do with some space in my bank account and my pedalboard! Truly Mint Condition. (see photos) Pics in link below: http://s1259.beta.ph...rary/Bass%20IQ?

ToneBone Bassbone - 100% Mint **SOLD**
Ashwood1985 replied to Ashwood1985's topic in Effects For Sale
OK so as much as I love this unit, I just can't justify the use for it right now as if I;m honest with myself, I'm not doing much bass switching live at the moment and I can pretty much get all the EQ needs I have from my board so the bassbone being utilised as 'just' an extra tone shaper, DI and Boost can't justify me keeping it when I need the cash! So wanna get it to a new owner who will use it properly! Offers...? -
I am sure this is not what you want to hear, but the RC is by far the better, more flexible pedal....
lol Cheers man, I've been giving it a go and I think it can work in my set up so will run with it. But it was more the principle. A man should know what he's buying. Know what I mean? Still no word back from the buyer. unfortunately the first time I won't be able to leave positive feedback after quite a few deals.
