1.
Pulled the trigger on an ASP008 yesterday!
Great value these - works out £100 per pre Anyway someone buy joes mics. They're good
  2.
What difference do you find in the two valves?
The major differences between the two valves is a) the breakup point and the tonality of the more driven tones. The cleaner settings obviously have less impact from the tube and the more driven the more the difference shows. To me the mullard is a touch more weighty in the lows and less fizzy on top. the unit still sounds great with the EHX tube however. Just different and IMO the mullard is better but that may not be the case for someone else. In which case they could always move the mullard on.
Any trades matey? Does it come with the dha power pack?
It does come with a 12V pack that delivers 1.5A which is more than enough. Not sure about trades as this is a cash building exercise really but you could always PM me what you've got - I can always say no
  3. Hi all, So I'm selling my Dave hall VT1 Bass-Drive-EQ It's got a vintage british mullard ecc82 valve in it which sounds the dogs doodas. The valve cost me £35 itself! Dave calibrated the unit to this valve himself when he gave it a full service and camouflage style paint job in march this year. I will include the original stock EHX ecc83 in the event the buyer wants a different flavour. £135 posted for all. NOW SOLD THANKS

  9. Great news on the speedy sale guys for all involved - well done! May I make a humble request though and ask that the first post or title is updated so more people don't do what I just done and read through every word with growing interest until I get to the post half way down saying that it's sold?
  10. Hi all, A guitarist I work regularly with, Matt Hanson, is selling this beautiful 71 Jazz bass and asked me to post it for him. Martin and John at the Bass Gallery have certified that it is ALL ORIGINAL with the exception one replaced saddle (on D string) in the bridge (but the original one that was removed is included. No bridge or pickup covers I'm afraid but it also comes with it's original case which is cool! From Matt: "A great player, really good response, no dead spots, great tone and particularly light for a Jazz bass of that era. The only reason I can bear to get rid of it, it the fact that I'm a guitarist!" Collection/London meet up preferable but will courier, safely packed in hardcase if required at buyer's risk (buyer to arrange courier). Sale only - No trades. It is currently in the bass gallery if you want to have a twang & thump on it. £2650 Drop Matt a line on 07772 528037 or [email protected]
