Just got a reply from Dunlop tech support. Turning the pot counter clockwise decreases the delay and clockwise increases it.
That's weird, turning mine all the way clockwise turned off the delay on mine :/
-
I've spent the last half hour playing with that pot on mine, sure enough, that's where the delay is set. I found with it turned all the to the right (clockwise with the way I've photographed it), there was no delay at all. When I took my foot off the pedal, I had my clean signal back instantly. Well chuffed I found out about this, it really has been doing my head in.

Just opened mine up and there's no brown trimpot inside to turn, however, there is a white one. Going by the photo you linked, it looks like the right one, labelled TP4. Is this different to your one then?

Ohhhh. I have a big issue with the delay going back to a clean signal with mine, I was considering looking for an alternative and didn't think to check to see if it was adjustable inside. I'll be pulling mine apart tonight to see if it's got a trimpot. Will let you know if I have any luck.
I wanted a Behringer PL2000 but the light sticks out too far and I wouldn't be able to get the front on my rack case. Which is a shame.
I was worried about that too, I couldn't find a definitive measurement to how far it stuck out before I ordered it but I took a chance and the rack bag cover fits over it without much hassle, so I got lucky. I suspect it'd be a no-go if I had a hard case though.

In the rack is a Peavey Tour 700 and a Behringer PL2000, very surprised at the quality of it for how much it cost, although shamefully I'm not yet using it's power distribution features...it's just a pretty light at the moment. 1U spare, not sure what I want in there, but most likely either a rack wireless system if I can find a good one for the right price, or just a standard wireless system mounted on a shelf. Until I can decide on what cab to upgrade to, my Ashdown MAG410 Deep is doing an alright job. The new head has helped a lot, so I'm not in a huge rush to upgrade it. Want to save the pennies for the right one.

I'm so glad I used the search function, I'm using a Sansamp PBDDI and a Ibanez PD7 in my rig - was rehearsing tonight, and sure enough whenever I turned on the PD7, I get horrible feedback. I found that cutting the treble and presence down enough on the Sansamp cured it, but at the loss of the tone I wanted from the Sansamp! Very annoying. I'm using fairly decent Planet Waves patch leads, so I'm wondering if the same thing happens when powering the PD7 from a battery rather than the cheap power brick I'm using at the moment. My signal chain is: Bass -> Instrument Selector -> Tuner -> Compressor -> Synth -> Wah -> Ibanez PD7 -> Boss ODB-3 -> Sansamp PBDDI -> Amp I don't think I had an issue with feedback when I switched on the ODB-3, so maybe it's just an issue with the PD7? It's a shame, it's a great pedal that gives me the perfect amount of grit to my tone (set on Clean, with Attack on 1, Low and High between 12 and 3 o'clock). I tried setting the level on the PD7 down as much as I could (before turning down the treble and presence on the Sansamp) but didn't really have much luck. I've heard the phrase "unity gain" thrown around a lot, but I don't really know what it means and how to achieve it! Any ideas?

Yeah, that's my setup. Cheers, and yeah, I'm starting to think an alternative solution would be better. Can someone recommend a better instrument switcher?

Hi all, Recently purchased a Radial BigShot i/o Instrument Selector off another Basschatter, and it's a great addition to my board. I've noticed one slight (and in the circumstances, it's pretty major actually) issue with it. During my band's gigs, we're all over the place, in the sense that we move about a lot, jump about a lot, etc. So imagine my horror when my guitarist accidentally cuts me off somehow mid-song. After about 30 seconds of checking everything I could think of, it turns out that he had hit the Select switch on my BigShot, setting my second bass to be the active one. Now, the BigShot is great, it really is, but the lack of any visual indicators to let me know what state it's in has me worried now. I'm thinking it could benefit from three LEDs. Two to indicate which input out of A and B is active, and one to indicate whether the Mute function is enabled. Which begs the question, who's up to the challenge then? I would happily try it myself but I have no experience with modding pedals or the workings of pedals, so I'd be too paranoid I'd cock it up and render a great pedal completely useless. As it is, the BigShot requires no power or battery. Looking at similar A/B switches, they only need to be powered for the LEDs to function, so it looks like it will need to become a powered pedal somehow. In addition to that, holes would have to be drilled or cut into the pedal to house the LEDs. Anyone fancy a challenge? If so, let me know and if applicable, quote me a price!

I've been asked to do one for my band, haven't got round to it yet but I'm still thinking of ideas. Was thinking of a PDF document with interactive elements, but it's all theory at the moment. I can see them being of some use, mainly when emailing promoters and venues. I know from experience that a website link on the bottom of the email, more often than not, will go ignored, but if they have an attachment sitting there, they will tend to click that. Am going to start working on it tonight so I'll let you know how it goes.

Bought Paul's Peavey Tour 700 from him, absolute pleasure to deal with, helpful, friendly, communication was outstanding. BUY HIS STUFF!
PMT Northampton are definitely the worst. They try to sell you damaged gear that you don't even like in the first place, while telling you that your favoured brands are crap and their staff are quite happy to make up cock and bull stories to try and look cool
And there was me thinking they just did that in the Southend store!
