1. I used to use Kalium strings for a Drop C set (130/086/065/047) and then switched to GHS Bass Boomers (130/085/065/045 - close enough I thought) after Kalium shipping became too expensive. Now the need for a set for Drop A# (A# F A# D#) is going to soon come up and I have no idea how to interpret these tensions charts I'm finding online. I'm happy to switch back to Kalium but I don't know what set what would work best; 142/150/158? Thicker than this? GHS don't offer anything more than 140 from the look of their BEAD set - could I get away with a 140 if I wanted to stick with GHS?
2. And sold!
3.
Can't believe this is still here.... Outstanding value.
Neither can my less than stellar bank balance haha. To the top again.

11.
A fantastic amp at a fantastic price, I got the 450 version and it is loud and the tone can be anything between clean to super deep. Not heavy and easy to carry. What else to ask for an amp? good luck with your sale mate.
Cheers mate bump!
12. Moving on my Peavey Tour 700 as I've recently moved to Orange. This amp has been reliable as hell in the 4 years I've owned it, never let me down and has spent its life in a rack case so is in very good condition. Everything works on the amp, no loose knobs or dials. This pushes out 500W at 8ohms and 700W at 4ohms. Would prefer collection from Southend or nearby Essex areas but may have a box to post in if the buyer arranges courier etc. Any questions, let me know! Would prefer a sale, but would consider a trade for a reasonably lightweight 4ohm cab, either a 2x10, 2x12 or 4x10.
13. Forgot about this, it's all still here and awaiting another home, so a mighty bump a year down the line.
14. I've just won the 300 model from PMT, picking it up in a couple of weeks time so this thread has been pretty positive to read! Looks like it's finally time to give the Peavey Tour 700 a rest.
15. Haven't posted in a while so I'm a bit out of touch with the latest comings and goings of the Basschat world, but can anyone let me know if Stringbusters is still reliable? It's getting too expensive for me to be buying one or two sets of Kalium strings now so I'm looking to switch to GHS Bass Boomers instead as the bassist from Architects uses them and has a great sound. Anyway, ordered a set from Stringbusters (who I have used before 3/4 years ago without an issue) first thing on Wednesday 23rd November, honestly expecting them to arrive by first class post on Thursday or Friday at the latest. Monday rolls around and still no strings so I give them a call, after noticing on their website my order says "awaiting dispatch". I get told that their website isn't working properly and that the strings have actually been dispatched and should've arrived by now so I said I'd give Royal Mail another day to be sure (it is the busy season after all). Tuesday comes, no strings, so I give Stringbusters another call and they say they'll do another invoice and send out another set. Didn't receive an email confirming a second set had been dispatched or that they had put the order through again or anything but meh, no big deal. Fast forward to weekend just gone and still no sign of either first or second set of strings from them. I ring them on Saturday a few times and keep getting a non-personalised voicemail, so I leave all my details and ask them to call me back to see if we can sort it out and today passed without any contact from them at all. I'm a little bit pissed off now to be honest, if I had needed the strings urgently I'd be screwed but as I don't I feel I've been pretty lenient with them. At this point I feel tempted to just ask for a refund and go to Strings Direct or something. I know it's only £30 but it's not the point Can anyone offer any advice on how to proceed or give me any reassuring feedback about them to put my mind at ease? Cheers
