1. Mel managed to palm a load of unwanted stuff off onto me, for money. And pretty damned efficient about it she was, too, sneakily covering everything in bubble wrap and making sure it was delivered promptly. Oh yes. Just watch out, that's my advice.
2. What does it say on the tin?
3. There's nothing wrong with my Stagg -- I like it very much. Thanks for all the info. The dude hasn't replied so we can probably forget the whole experience and put it behind us.
4.
Why don't you post a wanted add on here for a cheap bass and name your price. That way you run the risk of getting something decent and not wasting your money in this sh*te.
Oh I have a cheap bass already (a Stagg). I was just curious. Thanks though!
5. Granted. I wouldn't buy it for anywhere near what he's asking, but he says he's open to that. Let's see if he answers my text. Another thing of course is how on earth I would be able to tell a good bass from a bad one. I know nothing about them!
6. Nice mixing desk behind it, mind...
7. Right, but apart from the fact that it's junk and they've sawn a bit off...
8. Hello. What do you clever folk think of this posting on Gumtree: http://www.gumtree.c...-slap/103908772 I'm intrigued because it's fairly local to me and, er, fairly cheap. And I love cheap. So. Can anyone shed any light?
9. Well I'm tempted to buy it sight unseen just for the hell of it...
10. If things fail to work out with a couple of other bases, I'll buy this from you, jezza.
11. How does one know if a pick-up is passive or active? Do they look differently? Have more wires sticking out of them? Etc.
12. Or it's been set on fire to achieve that 'bad paint job' look.
13. Likewise! Hope everything's okay.
14. I've sent you a message, bkman.
15. So is it actually, er, you know, like, for sale?
16. Salutations from me as well. I'm a beginner with the bass. I was a drummer in my teens, and then spent years fiddling with synths and computer stuff at home, and am now turning to bass, for fun. I have a bass guitar with four strings on it, and various bits and pieces like pickups, and a long neck, and stuff. Oh and it's brown. It makes a nice noise if you plug it in and pluck the strings. They key, I'm told, is to pluck them with one hand and use your other hand to shape notes on the neck in a pleasingly melodic fashion. This, for the moment, is proving somewhat elusive, but I intend to persevere.
17. This is my first post here, but I would buy that in a flash; it looks absolutely fantastic.
