  1. Not the easiest thing to photograph. I've had some issues with the drive circuit in my Fafner and I noticed there was a small red cable that was soldered to one of the transistors near the drive circuit. It feels like a really small cable compared to the other circuitry in the amp so I was wondering if anyone else's looked like that? The actual fault is volume fluctuations when switching the drive switch and the amp making buzzing/crackling sounds on specific frequencies.
  2. I genuinely could not recommend getting a good power supply enough. Couple of recommendations from me would be Truetone CS6. Has a proper kettle lead power input Comes with loads of cables Fits under a pedaltrain nano Has blue LEDs so your pedalboard will look like a 00s boy racer hatchback with neon lights Cioks DC7 Not cheap but about as good a supply as you can get. Powers my quad cortex, expression pedal and overdrive pedal and the noise is minimal.
  3. Thanks for the responses guys. On recent gigs I haven't had any issues with the amp. In regards to a leaky cap hopefully this is the sort of thing a decent amp tech would check during a service. I will enquire with sickamps
  4. Thank you that makes sense. My rig sounds much better now! Shout-out to sickamps.com in Harlow
  5. Had my EBS Fafner serviced recently and the tech said there was 1.5v DC offset present. I have an ok understanding of electronics but it's something I've never really understood. Amp sounds much cleaner now it's below 100mV
  6. Hey everyone all of the parts have now been sold/donated apologies I didn't update the post last night as I was out gigging. Will update post now Lewis

  9. That's a super nice gesture! Just a thought, have you considered donating them to a school so they could be used for many years to come? I'm a teacher myself and I know how much it benefits the kids to be able to play through "proper" gear. Lewis
