  1. Not the easiest thing to photograph. I've had some issues with the drive circuit in my Fafner and I noticed there was a small red cable that was soldered to one of the transistors near the drive circuit. It feels like a really small cable compared to the other circuitry in the amp so I was wondering if anyone else's looked like that? The actual fault is volume fluctuations when switching the drive switch and the amp making buzzing/crackling sounds on specific frequencies.
  2. I genuinely could not recommend getting a good power supply enough. Couple of recommendations from me would be Truetone CS6. Has a proper kettle lead power input Comes with loads of cables Fits under a pedaltrain nano Has blue LEDs so your pedalboard will look like a 00s boy racer hatchback with neon lights Cioks DC7 Not cheap but about as good a supply as you can get. Powers my quad cortex, expression pedal and overdrive pedal and the noise is minimal.
  3. Thanks for the responses guys. On recent gigs I haven't had any issues with the amp. In regards to a leaky cap hopefully this is the sort of thing a decent amp tech would check during a service. I will enquire with sickamps
  4. Thank you that makes sense. My rig sounds much better now! Shout-out to sickamps.com in Harlow
  5. Had my EBS Fafner serviced recently and the tech said there was 1.5v DC offset present. I have an ok understanding of electronics but it's something I've never really understood. Amp sounds much cleaner now it's below 100mV
  6. Hey everyone all of the parts have now been sold/donated apologies I didn't update the post last night as I was out gigging. Will update post now Lewis

  9. That's a super nice gesture! Just a thought, have you considered donating them to a school so they could be used for many years to come? I'm a teacher myself and I know how much it benefits the kids to be able to play through "proper" gear. Lewis
  10. Would you consider a straight swap for an EICH T500?
  11. 12. That's a good question I'm not sure which overdrive its based off, you may well be right. £159 is very decent in my opinion

  15. The mains power and the power leads yes. I'm not sure if I still have all of the ones it came with but I will include 4 standard ones
  16. For sale is this super power supply with mains cable included. Will easily power 4 pedals, ideal for a small board. The unit used to live happily under my Pedaltrain nano but I no longer need it. Cash or bank transfer is fine. Pickup from Hitchin SG4 or can post within the UK Let me know if you have any questions
  17. Spoke to PMT today and they said they are going to replace it. The guys in the Cambridge store are brilliant!
  18. I know what you mean and I do see your point but as the bass was brand new you would hope for a neck that is nice and smooth.
  19. I've recently purchased a new player plus jazz V from PMT. When it arrived i did a couple of gigs with it which were fine, I then took it to Ian at guitarworks.co.uk (who is awesome by the way) to do a full set up on the bass as the action was a bit high for my liking. He discovered an indent in the neck around the 10th fret which you can definitely feel, almost as if there was a chip and they sanded too much material off. Annoyingly its the sort of thing that once you feel it you can't unfeel it. My returns period with PMT has now passed so i'm going to try and return it under warranty. What should I do? Lewis
  20. In the end yes! They let me put the value of the amp towards my new Kemper
  21. Behringer AM100 - £50 Collection from Hitchin SG4. Otherwise all price includes postage in UK Lewis
  22. The 410 HLF was used standalone so that wasn't the problem
  23. This +1 PMT have been very nice about it and called me yesterday. I'm not sure about Lemon Law to be honest. Sometimes things just break when they are being gigged hard regularly.
  24. +1 for your insight I'll make sure to watch out for that in the future, lets see if i get a new head!
