  1. I tried another active bass through the pedal and the same thing happened. Must be something to do with the way the power supply reacts to the pedal
  2. For sale is this Marshall B25 MK II practice amp. Perfect for beginners or as a bench amp for techs. It has two inputs so can also be used for home teaching or testing out tones from two basses. The amp is quite quiet and the pots are a little scratchy, also pictured is a missing handle guard. £30 and it's yours Collection from Hitchin would be ideal as the amp is quite heavy.
  3. For Sale Edirol active studio monitors perfect for a small home studio. Included is the power supply and connecting cable. The speakers have a headphone out for silent practice and a simple to use 2 band EQ. Will post at buyers expense or collect in person from Hitchin.

  4. For sale is this wonderful Arturia Microbrute Synth. I'm selling as I am looking to make my setup more compact. The synth has no presets which in my opinion is a great thing because it forces you to be creative! Only used live a handful of times. The power supply works but the connection has a slight bit of damage so if this synth is going to go on the road a new power supply would be needed. Can ship at buyers expense or collect from Hitchin SG4

  5. Just tried two different tuners (Landlord FX and Behringer TU300) and neither of them did the same thing as the BOSS. There was a bit of power supply click from the Landlord FX but nothing to serious.
  6. I am running the pedal from my Truetone CS6 power supply
  7. It's a valid question but yes I have tried that. It's not a massive issue to be honest it's just a bit surprising as to why it's happening
  8. I just changed the electronics in the bass and it still happens. It's not too bad or noticeable just a bit frustrating as it shouldn't happen. I will try with some other tuners and check if it still happens. It may be an issue with my TU3
  9. Liana is a great bass player! She was in my year at uni on my higher diploma course! Saw her at Reading festival as well a few years ago now. Great post
  10. Thank you for your responses. I am very responsible in regards to turning the amp off or unplugging a cable. As @simon88wilson mentioned the tuner is engaged when this is happening which should stop any signal going to the amp
  11. MTD KZ4 -> Boss TU3. I've had problems when unplugging this bass in the past. When I unplug the bass with the tuner engaged there is a thump sound a bit like a kick drum which comes through the amp. I'm going to take it to my local tech soon but any advice would be appreciated.
  12. Thanks for all your responses! Definitely stuff to consider. I suppose it's like anything in life, if you do it a lot you will get good at it.
  13. Would love to become a guitar/bass tech. I would be interested to hear how those of you doing it already got into it? Lewis
  14. I would go to Mal who works from his house in Stevenage. I can give you his phone number in a private message. The guy is unreal. He's been doing it for decades and has encyclopedic knowledge. Whatever is wrong with that SVT he will get it working Let me know mate Lewis
  15. I was there from 2011-2015. I enjoyed it on the whole but like any degree it had it's challenges along the way. Happy to answer any questions for you mate couple of tips. 1. Reading Reading Reading Reading 2. If you haven't got Sibelius yet make sure you get a copy and get good at it because you will be using it A LOT. 3. Network as much as you can. My go to guitar player is a guy who I went to ICMP with and he's getting gigs years later. Let me know how you get on
  16. I've decided to downsize my set up a little. My pedaltrain pro is just a little too big for my needs right now, therefore I'm looking for a PT-2 or PT-3 with a hardcase ideally. The board itself is in great condition with no scratches or rubber feet missing. This is a PERFECT oppurtunity for someone who has run out of space on thier own board and needs an upgrade. Comes with hardcase that does have stickers on however can be removed easily. Open to offers about the cash adjustment Would also consider a power supply or pedal instead. Based in North West London Lewis
  17. Fascinating topic great read! Here are some of my ideas A few years ago i aquired a Marshall Shredmaster guitar overdrive pedal and the thing is just brilliant! Sounds like it could be exactly what you need. You'll find one on ebay for about £150. I find it works really well with a bass amp because you can EQ more low end in if you need it. I use an MXR Bass big muff in the effects loop ( ) This allows me to use the dry control on it to really swamp the overdriven frequencies, however they are always there and there is plenty of grit in the sound. Check out the James LoMenzo hyper drive by Ashdown, It may be the answer to your problems Lewis
  18. Would do anything to get my hands on one of these!
  19. You're the one that I want is very fun to play good luck mate!
  20. BUMP £375 Today and tomorrow!!
  21. The bass is a swamp bass body not bubinga
  22. It is Bubinga I believe Delivery can be arranged if need be Its not letting me upload pictures at the moment but i can email if you would like some Lewis
  23. PM for pictures This German made Warwick is a fantastic bass with a great sound and wonderful feel to the neck and it would make a great addition to any bass players collection. The bass was oiled and set up in 2012 by Phil Mann who did a fantastic job! Great for soul and motown and it is also possible to get a pretty convincing upright bass sound but with new strings the bass really comes to life with lovely sustain and chime to help cut through the murkiest of mixes. I am based in Dollis Hill north London Nearest tube - Dollis Hill Nearest National rail - Cricklewood Lewis
