1. Could you let me know the total length when its fully adjusted please mate, I have a comfort strap thats just that bit too short for me that i'd happily trade if yours is longer (fnar fnar...)
2. Still available...... Ideally after a tuner, octave or chorus pedal.....
3. I'm currently fleeting between Norwich, Enfield, Lambeth and Bristol, so anywhere between those would be fine for me.
4. After going through the attic i found this beasty, a Numark foam lined flight case.... Its a perfect road case for whatever you might wanna stick in it, with 4 rubber feet on the bottom and a solid leather handle. Outside its a bit rusty in places (as you can see in the photo) but inside its like new, it has a rigid foam lining and i'm pretty sure you could drop this out of a plane and it would survive. It also has the detatchable lid so you could possibly use this for a mixer or mod it into a pedalboard or such like... External dimensions are 18cm by 50.5cm by 42.5cm. Internal dimensions are 16cm by 45.5cm by 36.5cm, and it weighs about 6.2kg. Not really sure on a price for it, make me an offer, but unless its collected it'll cost a shiny sheckle to courier it. More interested in trades for maybe a chorus or half decent tuner pedal (yeah, i went and bought a Behringer tuner pedal..) or maybe a 4U rack case or anything else that may tickle my fancy. I'll have it in London with me over the weekend in case anyone near there fancies it, just let me know on here. Cheers y'all!
5. Lovely job, cheers amigo!
6. These are amazing amps, i bought one S/H a few months ago and was astounded by how good they sound. When they first came out in about '94 or whenever they were £599 new! Good luck with the sale mate.
7. PM comin' at cha.....
8.
I've got a sealed pack of D'Addario Pro Steels 50-105 that I'd swap for the 45-105 nickels (never heard of SIT, but happy to give them a go...)
Cheers for the offer my man, but i'm really after something like .50/.70/.90/110s or heavier. But yeah, S.I.T strings are superb in my opinion, sound and feel great, and last a lot better than most. And to be honest Ben, i just can't be arsed to flog them and then buy more, i'm just a lazy git who's after a straight swap. And i've just never liked Elites, they seem to go dead on me quickly and feel a little too "scratchy" for me. Thanks anyway though amigo!
9. Righty-ho, i've just joined a heavier-than-matal group and we're tuning down to a lovely low-C, but the strings i have on the bass i'm using are flapping around a bit, so i was wondering if anyone might have any heavier gauge strings lurking around they might wanna trade with me? I have a set of La Bella Slappers (.44/.64/.84/103) S.I.T Power wound nickels (.45/.65/.85/105) and two sets of GHS Bass Boomers (.45/.64/.80.100) Obviously they're all new and still in original packets, and i'm after pretty much anything except Rotosounds or Elites. Cheers y'all!
10. Good luck with this one Rob, if i weren't so damn skint i'd love this beauty.
11. Hiya Kev, PM me your addy mate, i've got a new C string doing nuttin that you're welcome to, i'll get it in the post to you.
12. Just seen this on eBay if its any good for ya'....? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/bass-guitar-for-dumm...p3286.m14.l1318
13. Thats a great price for that mate, if i weren't so broke i'd have it off ya' in a second. Have a bump on me!
14. Oh man i'd love some, don't wanna be greedy but as many as you can spare would be great, either colour would be great. I'll PM you mate, and i'm more than happy to chuck you some cash to cover postage and packing. Cheers!!
15. If i had the money mate i'd have it off you in a second, good luck with the sale Rob.
16. Come on folks, this is an amazing bass at an outstanding price. If i weren't so skint i'd have it back in a second Stu, its sooooo nice. Best of luck mate.
17. Just wondering where about are you mate? And would you be prepared to ship the beasty or is it collection only? Cheers amigo.
18. I'll take the Primus Brown Album off your hands, just let me know if you'd prefer paypal or cheque (and all the payment details etc.) Cheers!
19. A friend bought me this the other day (which was nice) but as its all in notation and i'm too much of a dumb-ass to understand anything thats not tab then it might as well go to a new loving home. Its "The complete electric bass player book 1;- the method" and its in s/h but good nick, 191 pages covering, well, bloody loads of stuff. I'll put up a picture if anyone wants one. I'm not after much for it so any offers considered, maybe a set of strings or summit? Its reasonably heavy so postage would probably be around £3-ish. Cheers!
20. Where abouts in Bristol are you Kev? I'm kinda tempted but Bristol is a pretty big place and (in all my laziness) don't really wanna drive round all night trying to get someplace!!
21. Heres the link to my eBay listing for my Faith No More cd singles collection; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/20-RARE-Faith-No-Mor...1QQcmdZViewItem If a BC'er buys them i'll do the postage for free, or i might even swap them for something bass-related. Cheers y'all!
22. Righty-ho, i'm having a bit of a clearout of stuff i just 'aint using, so we'll start with this gumf.... Nady Wireless; This is about 14 years old, and believe it or not i swapped it for a EB-3 i had when i was about 17... (D'OH!!) Its obviously a bit beaten and bruised, the battery cover clip came off years ago so its now got velcro holding it on. I tried it earlier today and i works fine, but i remember trying it a few years ago with no joy so i'm selling it sold as seen. (The last thing i wanna do is rip anyone off!) Not after much for it, make me an offer or i'll swap it for a set of strings or summit. Next, a Black 4-string bridge; I bought this recently and fitted it to my VMJ (as seen in the last picture) but then literally a couple of days after i bought a BasAss II for it, so its in pretty much new condition. It'd make a nice upgrade to an old bass that needs a little life put back into it. Hows about £15 delivered, or once again i'll swap for a set of strings (4 or 5's) Last up, the hardware from my Vintage Modified Jazz; In decent condition, would also be good to wallop on an old bass that needs new shiny bits. Hows £20 delivered, or once again i'll swap them for some strings or whatever. Any questions or anything feel free to either PM me or leave comments/abuse/sarcasm on here.....!
23. They're called 3 Up 2 Down, and yeah they've been playing together for about 7 years now, all the local pub and club venues.
24. Righty-ho, i'm in the process of moving from my lovely but boring Norfolk homestead, so the function/covers band i play in are looking for a new bass person. Its all very middle of the road stuff, Fleetwood Mac/Bryan Adams/Shania Twain/Stones kinda thang, gigging usually between 2 and 5 times a month. All in and around East Anglia (Norfolk/Suffolk) and all paid gigs, anything between £40-£100 a night (although usually closer to £50ish) but obviously more for New Years' and other decent payers. All easy stuff to play, in with female singer and male guitarist singer-guitarist, lead guitarist and drummer, all aged 40's-50's. I'm doing all the gigs through till the end of May, then i'm off, so i'm happy to tab out all the songs for whoever and maybe go to rehearsals with them to get them up to speed. They only ever gig on weekends, and they usually only rehearse once or (occasionally) twice a month, so its not too much of a pain in the ass. They're all nice people, easy to get along with but i wouldn't suggest anyone whos younger than late 20's go for it. PM me here and i'll forward details to the singer-guitarist who's gonna deal with it. Cheers y'all!
