1. Oooohh... Its down to £110 now and I'm starting to get tempted if the electrics could be sorted out on the cheap.... http://www.gumtree.com/london/39/53705439.html So is this worth a punt fellas? Should I take the plunge or wait another week or so and see if he drops the price by another £20?

SOLD

Absolute bargain for the Lomenzo pedal, I love mine to bits and I think its one of the best OD's/Distortions out there.
3. "How many members of Jamiroquai does it take to screw in a lightbulb?" "Only one, to go ask Stevie Wonder how he did it first."
4. I have the Lomenzo and the Ibanez Phathead, and they're both great pedals. If you can find a PD7 for less than £40 then I'd say go for it. I'm possibly selling mine so if you do decide thats what you want then hit me up. Check the Ibanez demo's on their website, they're pretty good. Also well worth considering is the Boss Metal Zone, a guitarists pedal but it has onboard EQ so you can tweak as much as you like without losing the bottom. I also have the Digitech bass driver which has a really sensitive blend setting which also works a treat. They also have great demos on their website.
5. Ha, Stevie Wonder.

Rumple

I picked up some freebie mags from Dave and what more can I say, top bloke and gives away free stuff to broke musicians! Thanks again Dave, I owe you a pint.
9. Well this is afeedback thread so here goes; I bought a bass off him about a year ago, and found him nothing but happy, polite, and overall a really, really nice bloke. He knocked £20 off the asking price of a bass for me, and as I was going to pick it up he waited for me at the station to make it easier for me to find his place and then we sat and played bass and talked for ages. He made me coffee and I asked him about the bass-work he'd been doing and how could I possibly get into it, and he was extremely helpful and a really good laugh too. I just took him as a lovely guy, and would happily go for a beer with him anytime.
10. Got it in the post this morning, and many thanks for it mate, I actually think its really helpful! Nothing too demanding but really good basic practice regime stuff, cheers old bean, much appreciated.
11. Nice bass that man!
12.
Don't know a best bass shop as I usually buy off mates, ebay or the last time, from the States. Worst? (don't think it's fair to name them) but it's in a sleepy little Norflok town. The boss makes a point of playing every bass the punters would like to try and proceeds to slap at a zillion miles an hour, thus putting off "novices and some intermediates" with his "see what I can do" attitude.
Ha, couldn't agree more. I know the guy and the shop, and he loves to tell potential customers what they really want (not what they ask for) for ridiculous prices, and then lord it over you with his "check out my awesome playing skills" slap bass fest. The guys a total biff and I'm not bigging myself up here, but I've been playing for 17 years and he sets about telling me (on all three times I've been in there) how I'm wrong about this and wrong about that too. But don't fear mate, from what I hear he's 100-G in the hole and losing ground fast.
13.
nearly bought that myself then realised that I don;t need one
Yeah me too!
14. I thought it was pretty good, it must be the bad speakers on my laptop but the sound qulity was pretty dire to me. But surely they could have filmed it someplace else than somebody's living room?!
15. Damn you, I'm in Lambeth over the weekend and I'm driving.....
16. Interested mate, where are you location-wise?
17. Is that £45 posted young sir, or excluding postage?

19. I've sent a few basses out over the years and even Royal Fail do it for about £15 with about £200 insurance included. As long as its boxed up they're ok about it.
