1. Man I saw Megadeth twice back in '95 and they were amzing, had Corrosion of Conformity supporting and met them all afterwards and had beers with both Daves for about an hour. Really good to hear they might be playing proper metal again, just get Nick Menza and marty Friedman back and I'd actually go pay to watch them. (I also saw "Megadave" at Download in 2005, wish I hadn't bothered....)
2.
Hi, here a new video, but not fretless, just a little solo impro on Acoustic Bass... Please, comments, feedbacks and suggestions are welcome! Thank you!
Absolutely loving that, really articulate and pronounced stuff, well done playa'. Now I want the tab for it....!!
3. Yeah its pretty alright but you only need it on about 5 else its too harsh to me. Mess about with the ambient settings though, you can get some great delays on there with a bit of experimentation.
4. How much for the 3U collected mate? PM me, I wanty first dibs!!
5. Yeah the guy who bought mine said it was worth the £40 for the chorus and flange alone, once you tinker with the presets (and work out which amp models are too damn noisy to be of any use) then you can tweak some decent settings out of them.
6. Hiya matey, I'll take the 300 S/T and the Willi Langer cd's off your hands, can you please PM me payment details? Cheers top man!
7. The few times I've felt tlike that I just put the bass away and forget about it for a few days. Get your bum out and watch a few good bands (not just weekend-warrior covers bands) and actually be inspired as a music lover and not just as a musician. Or maybe go to a local jam night, playing stuff thats not neccessarily difficult but you've never played/heard before can really keep you sharp, baptism of fire to keep you on your toes. Hope this helps mate, I know how challenging putting up with bands can be sometimes.
8. Me wanty!! PM Coming your way dude!!
9. These are both now sold pending the usual, many thanks to those showing interest.
10. Body now sold to the Doc, neck still up for grabs.....
11. This has now been sold, cheers for the interest Y'all....
12. My god this is an amazing price, if only I had the room I'd buy it! And I'm only just down the road.... damn you!!
13. Hiya Lem, I don't think this was once yours but not entirely sure, some things have a tendency to be floating from various BC people over time! Yeah it was a pretty nice bass, but my ham-fisted buggering about soon put a stop to that! Trades wise I'm open to any offers, but what I'm really after is a 3U or 4U shallow rack, or a normal 2U rack. Apart from that, strings are always useful or bass dvd's/cd's/books, I'm pretty easy!
14. Right, it pains me to say this but I am an absolute moron when it comes to "having a go" at bass technicalities. I bought this fretless about a year ago, and have since spent time and money on it and all that seems to have happened is that I've made it look worse and worse. I bought new black hardware for it, installed it all ok, but managed to shred the screw holes for the control plate. Because it's a such a small unforgiving space there's not a lot of room for new holes to be drilled. I then had a bash at my own version of "relicing" the headstock with wood stain. You can see the result, not pretty. But I did sand the neck varnish off pretty well and it now feels smooth as a babies, and I'm sure somebody with some skills could make this into something a bit less tragic. The neck comes with the tuners and string tree (which only has one screw holding it on!) and I'm after £35 for it posted. The body comes with the PuPs, I was told they were from a Fender Jazz but not sure of which model, but they work fine and sound pretty good. I'm after £45 for this posted. I can also supply a jazz control plate (with pots and everything) for an additional £5 and a bent-tin bridge for another £5. You are also welcome to come collect any of this from me in North London and knock a few quid off the price. I'm also well up for trades on whatever you might have floating around, hit me up and see what floats my boat! Cheers Y'all...
15. I bought this quite recently thinking I could use a small multi-FX instead of dragging my massive pedal board around to gigs with me, but I've hardly used it over the time I've had it and it seems a shame because it's actually quite a decent sounding thing. The factory presets are pretty rubbish so I've put my own into the user banks, but obviously all of these can be arased and written over with your own settings. The ambience/delay settings are particularly good, and the chorus and trem effects are well worth the price alone. Just to buy a pedal tuner alone it will easily cost you over £50, so even if this was used just for the tuner and occasional FX its got to be a bargain! Its in great condition, hardly a mark on it and no cracks or dents or nasty scratches anywhere. The best thing about this pedal is its ease of use, I didn't even bother looking at the manual and I'm a right dumbass when it comes to multi-FX units. Here's the link to the manual; http://www.korguksupport.co.uk/upload/AX10B_EFG1.pdf Looking for £40, P+P will be about a fiver and will obviously be fully insured. Well up for trades though, don't really need anything specific but hit me up, you never know what could tickle my fancy! Cheers Y'all....
16. Really can't believe this hasn't sold yet, I almost want to buy it and I have 3 full gig rigs already!!
17. I'd be well up for a bash in North London (or London in general...) I lived in Enfield until last summer and know of a couple of places that might be do-able (small studios/rehearsal places) and might let us have it for a reasonable rate. If I can help with any organising then just let me know, I still visit Enfield every week so can easily pop in somewhere if needed? (and I'm only in Finsbury Park now so its not a million miles away!)
18. Gobsmacked this hasn't sold yet....!
19. I had one of these for a while before my Peterson, and they're great pedals, 110% accurate and easy to see on dark stages. BUMP on me!
20. AAAAGGHHHH I want one!!! Just not coming to Oxford for the forseeable future!! Bugger.
21.
I actually really like the look of those Bootsy models, but the price does seem a bit ridiculous. I'd be very surprised if they sold more than 50 worldwide.
Well they've only sold about 10 Zender models so don't be too ambitious! The most expensive signature they do was the TM Stevens (again £5400) purely because of the airbrushing they say. The Helborg acoustic comes in at a hefty £3000+ (for an acoustic bass guitar?!) and the Alien acoustic is made in Korea, always has been, and is still very expensive for what it is. The amps are not made in the Warwick factory, just designed and tweaked with there, then they're made in another company in East Germany. Add to that the price increases twice a year and I think they're gonna be coming a cropper sooner rather than later.....
22. Can't agree with CK enough on this, I have one and they're amazing amps, sound awesome and won't fail on volume! Have a bump on me sir!
23.
PM'D.... I'll take her Craig
Good choice that man...
24.
A bloody bargain! too low price in my mind, i paid £190 for mine, mint condition. no mods. although this is what i want to do with it! black hardware with some quarter pounders maybe! good luck selling, and well done to whomever shall buy it! WOW bump from myself dude
Cheers for the kind words amigo, yeah I think thats a fair price for it all-in, Its a great bass and will do someone proud! Obviously your's was in A1 condition whereas this has seen plenty of gigs and so isn't as spotless as yours, but it is a real gigging bass so it's gonna have a certain amount of pre-relic'ing! I was even considering putting all the original bits back on it and selling it for less, then selling the parts off (which would probably make me more money) but I'd rather it just goes to a good home and for someone to appreciate it as it is. I'll probably really regret selling it though.....!!
