1. Lovely bass. Would look great with a tort pickguard too.
2. Lozz if I wasn't about to book a holiday i'd have this off you... (I could start a collection of ex-lozz P Basses) Good luck with the sale, hope you're doing well
3. Bought a CN212 earlier this year... Not cheap, but what a sound. Can't recommend it enough.
4. I used to swear by Rotosounds, but they always used to go dead after a few rehearsals... tried a set of DR's from Bass Direct and they lasted ages... maybe 2 months.
5. i'd love an ampeg SVT with a matching 8x10. It would look awesome but it's just not practical for me. Especially when your car is a Micra. A 2x12 plus OBT500 has everything I want in a rig, amazing soung, small stage footprint and no more than 2 trips from car to stage.
6. I tried the squier Matt freeman last week and it's fantastic for the money... IMO better than some of the Mexican standard models I've tried recently. Always pays to try before you buy with fender/squire in my experience. If you can find one second hand, the classic series 70's P is brilliant, I bought mine from Lozz and it's probably the best P I've played.

I have the CN212 but i'd love to get my hands on the mesa head too. Looking forward to the review!
8. Ashdown LB30 through a Bergantino CN212... Just wow.
9. My LB30 sounded loud at home, and I thought it would be just about loud enough to rehearse and gig with. Being in a noisy punk band with a very loud drummer, it didn't even come close. Very disappointed at first as the general consensus was it could be gigged with (even with the DI I lost a lot of low end and it sounded a bit naff). However, for home practise and especially recording it is awesome. Our recording engineer liked it so much he ordered two of them on the spot. And it looks totally awesome.
10.
I was in your position too, wanting lighter cabs. I had reservations about it being enough, my last few cab set-ups have been Trace 1x15+4x10, Ashdown 8x10, Warwick WCA 115+ either 411 or 211. This thing handles everything I throw at it with ease, no need for back breaking cabs for me anymore! I've also heard great things about the Bergantino CN212, I'm sure there's a few users of those on here who can give you the lowdown on those.
I bought a CN212 last weekend... It's fantastic. Best thing i've ever bought. Only 20kgs(ish) and an incredible sound. Highly recommended.
11. Right, so i've got a new mexican classic series Precision (thanks to Lozz) I want to spruce up. First up, new bridge. I've got a Badass II on another bass. I love it. It's awesome. But they're hard to get hold of. I've also been reading into the Babicz Full Contact bridge, got some good reviews, and is cheaper. Should I hold out for another Badass II or go for a Babicz? Does anyone have any experience with the Babicz? Cheers people!
12. Met Lozz today and bought his classic series precision. Great bloke, friendly, easy to do business with. Had a good chat about all things bass. Hope to see you again mate.
13. I bought a Paisley P Bass from Chris Horton on here a few weeks back... Definitely a head turner. Got a lot of comments from it in the last few gigs we've played.
14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WD_YCdxNCE Our gig last saturday. Can't hear the bass too well on this clip sadly more footage on FB page if anyones interested https://www.facebook.com/SmallTimeHero
15. Have a bump on me, i've got one of these and they are incredible.
16. Just bought a fender precision off Chris. Great guy, helpful, friendly, won't hesitate to deal with him again. Cheers Chris.
17. Just started a new job... hope you've still got this in a few months when i'll have the funds!!
18. Hello people, I'm currently playing a jazz bass through a rack Ashdown MAG 300 head which is running through a 4x10 and (sometimes) a 1x15, also from the MAG range. I want to 'beef' up my tone and have read good things about the Sansamp RBI. I presume I can use the amp for power, leave the EQ flat and use the RBI for tone shaping? Or would it be better just getting an RBI and a power amp? I've heard the RBI can give a great tube tone, without the hassle of tubes. Cheers for your help.
19. Hi all, been reading the forum for quite a while now, thought i'd introduce myself.. Been playing bass for about 10 years now, my dad also plays so we've accumulated quite a bit of gear over the years. Not in a band at the moment but quite into my punk music, favourite bassist has to be matt freeman of Rancid. Look forward to chatting to you all! Joe
