    DI box

It's a Behringer Eurodesk MX2442a if that's any help at all.

Oh yes, when you turned the knob it definitely got louder, very quickly. I'll see if I can find the model before next Thursday.

All my effects have an amount of dirt in them as we're a three piece and I wanted a bit of a fatter sound. I've tried very hard to get the volume equal across the effects though so there's no huge spike, they just sound different. What's unity gain?

    DI box

It's an older Behringer, which one I can't say until next week when I'm back in the room. The trim pot is the knob under the XLR/ jack? That was the one where even if it was right down you could still hear the signal. We tried a different channel in case it was faulty, but didn't swap the lead out. I can (mostly) play the right notes in the right order at the right time, and understand my own rig. The mixing is a bit black magic to me.

Silly thing to say on BC! You're right of course.

My signal chain is tuner - zoom b3n - nova dynamics. It went in via normal instrument lead to one of the xlr/6.5 channels, a normal one, not the doubled up ones. AFAIK there is no button on the input section.

    DI box

A bit of a punt whether this is the correct forum section. We played about with going direct to the mixer last night, and my signal is far too high, you can only mute me with the mute button on the channel, the guitar can be turned down with the knobs on the channel. Would a DI box be any help in taming that signal, and if so, which one? I'm not spending an awful lot on it, definitely less than 100€.
  8. Jaysus marrying Joseph, can you not stop building something for just ten minutes?

    BaDaBoom 2021

Clearly of limited interest or accessibility, I can't imagine any of you will be in the middle of Schleswig-Holstein at the beginning of September. We're playing the BaDaBoom Festival on 04.09 from 1300 to 1400 on Gänsemarkt in front of the Holsten Galerie in Neumünster should anyone be around and want to heckle.
  10. I think your designs and workmanship are top class. I love the barrel bridges.
  11. The way to make a small fortune custom building and designing basses is to start with a large fortune.
  12. I'd have been more impressed if they'd actually made it out of Lego rather than encasing a bunch of bricks in resin. <pedant> Lego is an irregular plural, even Lego themselves say so 😉 <\pedant>
  13. That's real purty. I think a dark scratchplate would suit, not necessarily black though that's an easy starting point. Get some different colour paper cut outs and see what works.
  14. I mean, it's not a very good logo, so maybe the neck pocket is the best place for it, but even so....
  15. Why have you hidden the logo in the neck pocket?
  16. I was going to say, you've got the opportunity to move and reorganise and look at the state of it already Serious question for a moment, why didn't you go mad fitting shelves and storage whilst it was empty?
  17. I've enough random stuff in our house collecting dust without adding to it.
  18. No one prefers tort you weirdo
  19. I'm quite enjoying the current Crimson ones. Ben is basically making it up as he goes along and not hiding the balls up he's making of it.
  20. There you go @Andyjr1515, a captive router for you to use
