  1. Sorry, I hadn't seen that the pickguard had a white line on it. Carry on 👍
  2. Oooooo, if you're casting Speedblocks aside (sob 😜) you could do it in the Lotus colours, BRG with a yellow centre section. Eye thank yew, design consultancy fees to the usual Swiss bank account. 😉
  3. I used Halfrauds rattle cans on my only sprayed build. It came out OK, but I didn't lacquer it, so it left paint on the guitar stand for a while until it hardened off properly.
  4. I've got a BRG guitar and I think it looks dandy. It's got black hardware with zebra pickups, but I think that you may lose the scratch plate if you make it too dark.
  5. Headless knobs to go with the headless bass? 😜
  6. Oooooo, speed blocks on the raised center section. It's got to be done, and you know it
  7. OK, so this PA is now in Germany. It is still for sale, but probably only to any members who are based in Germany unless you want to pay the same again in shipping costs and insurance. In the interests of keeping the forum tidy this thread might as well be locked.
  8. Stop watching old TV reruns and trim the headstock
  9. The only time I've cut holes in a guitar was to make an HSH Super Strat with a Floyd Rose. I did it on a milling machine
  10. I've found a roll of wood veneer, probably permanently curved by now and I've no idea what wood it is. I can post but it may not survive the process!
  11. I've responded to a musician wanted advert on Friday on a different forum. I can see the message has been read, but there's not been a response. I'm not worried by that as it's up to them, but having read my message it's a bit (very) poor, it doesn't go into my experience, wishes, what I want from a band etc, a bit like responding to a job advert by just saying send the job description. What are the collective thoughts about sending another, more in depth message to rectify my previous failing? If it was you on the receiving end would you countenance another approach? I probably would if it were me.
  12. I didn't know they were a thing, but now I do, I want one. I've got no use for it, but hey, is RAS a thing?
  13. The internetz helped with the spelling but the grammar is mostly all mine.
  15. If you care it's because the scale on rule starts at the end, the measurement starts at the nut for an analogy, a ruler has the scale starting after the end, like a zero fret to continue the theme It's possible, but unlikely, to have a plastic rule or a steel ruler
  16. I'd make the non-cut bit at the top meet the neck at 90 degrees, like an acoustic, but it's not my bass
  17. Casting. I can't believe @Andyjr1515 isn't going that route. Make up a negative form using the body wood and the neck, fill with resin and voila. Once it's cured then neck will fit perfectly, the resin will have taken on the grain from the form and it'll just need painting and fitting the hardware. What could possibly go wrong?
  18. With weird 1:1 panto-graph arrangement to follow the existing neck profile and repeat it in reverse on the body?
  19. Mount the body at an angle on the table and use the horizontal arbour (sic) with a fly cutter to cut the curve...
  20. That's a cool looking forearm contour.
  21. Tune your bass? What heresy is this?
  22. No, but if you hum it, I'll punch your face in. To misquote Suggs on The Young Ones.
