I got them in the hope they would provide weird stuff RPG plots, but in the event they're both fairly useless in that regard. They're both gone now.

Mostly reference books, but the first 5 Necroscope books are in there as well. Have them all or none, up to you Cricket books gone. Homebrew book gone. Brian Lumley gone.

A 1U re-purposed HP 252636-001 server PDU if you want it, IEC C13 inlet and four switched double IEC C14 outlets. I used it as the PDU in my flight case, but it's got so many outlets I wasn't ever going to use them and it's actually really heavy. Free to the good people of BC, postage is going to sting though just because of the weight. Sorry

One 3U short sleeve flight case from Flightcase Warehouse for sale. Yours for the princely sum of £40. Postage will be interesting, at least it should survive the Great British Postie. 19" wide, 300mm fore and aft. Doors front and rear with twisty locks rather than the over the top cabinet catches. Lots of stickers from a previous owner, I quite liked them so I left them on. Black hexaboard with aluminium trim. Rack strip to the front only. I will consider a straight swap for an equivalent depth 2U case, but I do want rails on both sides please

Gary Numan at the Roadmender last night. Very, very good.

Yep, Elliott Omnimill 00. I have yet to leave the chuck key in anything, but I saw it happen at college. Well, I say saw, but none of us actually saw anything, we just heard the bang as it ricocheted off the ceiling.

When I was young and foolish I tried to take far too much off a block of mild steel on the wrong side. The cutter disintegrated and the lump of mild was flung across the workshop. Dad was a mixture of relieved that no personal injury had happened, miffed at the loss of a cutter and mildly amused at the learning experience.

I suppose I'd better bump this as May is drawing nigh There could be a cake-off, but then Jo would only be allowed to bring one cake

Can you, and I have no idea if this is possible, carve the front and then use the router on that radius to ensure that you don't break through when you do the back carve? Or just cut all the way through and veneer it. Like a Yamaha SLG200 with a lid -
I do both on my P-Bass. 90 degree cable and through the strap. I broke the scratchplate on my first bass, a 90's P-Bass copy by using a straight jack and standing on the cable. I learnt very quickly from that one!

I have to say, and maybe this should be in the original post, that I can't guarantee cake. That's up to the attendees if they wish to supply any

I used to be able to get a pack of sandwiches, the chain and padlock and that day's shirt under the pillion pad on my ZX-6R. The tail on my Tuono is so thin that the whole space is taken up by the rudimentary tool kit.

untilCelebrating it's 5th Birthday and incorporating the best Basschat luthiers in their very own Basschat Custom Bass show, The Midlands Bass Bash 2018 is taking place on the 5th May 2018 from 1200 to 1700. The venue is Brockington College, Blaby Road, Enderby, Leicester, LE19 4AQ It's easy to get to from J21 of the M1. Take the A5460 and at the first roundabout turn right onto the B4114 towards Narborough. Carry on the B4114 past Fosse Park on the right until you get to another roundabout. Turn right here onto Blaby road, the B582. Follow this road and once you cross the motorway Brockington College is the next left. In the left hand corner of the car park is direct access to the front of the school. If you want to use that to unload that's fine, but it would be appreciated if you would then park in the car park proper afterwards. The room we are using is the first door on the left, just beyond the disabled parking bays. We'll try and get a sign up with an arrow! There is a firm limit of 7 amp rigs in the room but if you have one handmade by dusky thighed maidens that is acoustically perfect in every way then I'll make an exception to the rule! The room isn't huge and I'd like to be able to hear afterwards and be allowed back next year We're going to ask for a £5 entry fee on the day. On the off chance enough people turn up to cover the costs any extra will be donated to a charity voted for by the attendees. I think that's about it, any other information will appear in this post at the top of the thread and then be bumped. Can any possible/definite/probably attendees put their names on the list so we have a reasonable idea of how many to expect.

If you could go back in time to one gig, which one?
Si600 replied to T-Bay's topic in General Discussion
In that case, I'd like to go back to Fear Factory at the Astoria, on the Obsolete tour. Or One Minute Silence in MK on the All Out of Bubblegum tour. Or... or... or... -

I was at that one, I got the CD of the show as I was leaving. Genius idea that was, shame the recording quality is awful. -

Does it have to be a gig that you were never able to get to, or can I go back to a gig that I was at? -
It's a Zoom H4N in the corner just to capture anything we do for improvement in playing or any new ideas that pop out. It's a P-Bass and I play between the pickup and the bridge. I don't *think* I'm hitting the pickup, I'll have a look for scratches later
-
I don't know, how do I find out? I've not had anyone study my playing and make suggestions of where to make changes. Maybe videoing myself and posting it is the next step?
-
Cheers, I'll get a selection and see how it goes.

I'm listening to and sorting out the recordings from our last session and there is a lot of pick click on there. I know it's me and not the guitarist. Any ideas how I reduce it, (without playing fingers!)? I'm using .6 Dunlops, too thick do you think?
