1. Nice to hear it exceeded your expectations and you got something out of it Nice bass, is it Candy Cola or Candy Apple Red?
2. I love the clank you get from new Roto's, but it doesn't last long and I'm sure that they eat the frets when I'm not looking! Elixirs next for me on the basis of this thread
3. Can I be a little bit of a party pooper and ask that as there seem to be 7 rigs on the list no one else brings any amps unless one of the seven drop out or it's incredibly exotic please? The room isn't huge and I'd like to be able to hear afterwards and be allowed back next year I'm bringing my GK kit as a house rig for everyone to play through should you want to.
4. Random "I've got one of these and they're excellent basses" bump
5. I'm using a GK MB212 with my 500 Fusion, I've only used it with that though so I can't say whether it's the best cab for ithe. I like it though.
6. This un http://basschat.co.uk/topic/217616-crazy-concept-bass/page__fromsearch__1
7.
Just finished my new "digital" pedalboard; Zoom and Source Audio pedals controlled by Disaster Area MIDI controllers. Polytune->MS-60B->OFD->Manta->Orbital->MS-70CDR->M81
What's the pale blue Zoom unit?
8. My friend found Melvin Hiscock's build a guitar book in the school library. He built a guitar and as we have another friend who already sort of played guitar I built a bass. It was horrible really, but got me started. The second friend who after not really being in touch with for years is now the guitarist in my band, got me into sensible music and then I just wanted to be Steve Harris, Dave Ellefson, Jason Newsted and Frank Bello all rolled into on!
9. I'm listening to our new kids playing upstairs for the first time. They go back to the foster carers tonight until Friday but even so
10. We're sort of working on We've got to get out of this place as closer, lots of dirt and I move it down to the low B. When I get it right, it sounds colossal. When I get it wrong it turns to mush! Definitely a work in progress.
11. Attendees: 1. Si600 - GK MB500 Fusion, GK MB212 (house rig), Fender P V.
12. As it was such a success last year, we're doing it again! Psychiatrists are standing by... The Midlands Bass Bash 2015 is taking place on the 9th May 2015 from 1200 to 1700. The venue is Brockington College, Blaby Road, Enderby, Leicester, LE19 4AQ It's easy to get to from J21 of the M1. Take the A5460 and at the first roundabout turn right onto the B4114 towards Narborough. Carry on the B4114 past Fosse Park on the right until you get to another roundabout. Turn right here onto Blaby road, the B582. Follow this road and once you cross the motorway Brockington College is the next left. In the left hand corner of the car park is direct access to the front of the school. If you want to use that to unload that's fine, but it would be appreciated if you would then park in the car park proper afterwards. The room we are using is the first door on the left, just beyond the disabled parking bays. We'll try and get a sign up with an arrow! We're going to ask for a £5 entry fee on the day. On the off chance enough people turn up to cover the costs any extra will be donated to a charity voted for by the attendees. I think that's about it, any other information will appear in this post at the top of the thread and then be bumped. Can any possible/definite/probably attendees put their names on the list so we have a reasonable idea of how many to expect.
13. Probably *because* a usable compressor and noise gate in one unit is such a bargain they weren't making much money on them!
14. The problem I see with the pallet loader is getting the kit out of the car means manual intervention and what happens if there are stairs up into the venue. I think helicopters are definitely the way forward
15. Of course, PM your address and I'll get it on it's merry way.
16. It covers '91 to '96, but the car was made up until '98 so it'll probably cover up until then as well.
17. Free if anyone wants it. Goes in the bin at the weekend.
18.
Not all Haynes Manuals are usefull: http://www.amazon.co...p/dp/1844256626
I got my dad the Apollo 11 one. Not much use as a strip down and rebuild manual as most of the bits are on the moon at least the Titanic is closer
19. "Merry Christmas you 'orrible lot" said Tiny Tim
20. I saw Fish on Saturday, and he had a stand on stage with him. It didn't detract from the show for me.
21. I've called it pictures now, is that better?
22. That'll be a no then
23. We've had a Precisions thread, and a Limelight thread, so how about a GK owners club? I'll post mine as soon as I can get to Photobucket
24. There's a very nice Precision Deluxe V for sale in there somewhere...
25. We're only doing a few that I think others would want to do. Pretty Vacant and American Idiot are the obvious ones, Kids in America, All the Small Things and She Hates Me would be my next suggestions of popularity. Do you want the rest as well, or will those 5 suffice?
