    I use everything except the middle on its own. Favour neck over bridge and like both combos.

    I want to refret my squier jazz bass, and add some block inlays at the same time. Anyone know where to buy some inlays in the UK? proper inlays, not stickers.

    I like my passive jazz bass, but I also like that great active sound that you get from GB basses, and Status as well. Is there an outboard preamp that would get you into that ballpark? I'm just a bedroom player so I don't have a clue about this sort of stuff.

    Thanks people. I'm less keen on SIMS. Apart from being expensive generally, I got them to make me a tele body and neck some years ago, and the fit between the two was very poor in my eyes - about a 1mm gap between neck and top join of pocket. If they had made the neck too big I could have shaved it down a bit.

    Any idea where I can get one? I fancy converting my jazz as I miss the P sound that I had with my old jazz bass.

    Hmmnnn .... slight interest. Planning on posting a pic still? Although I basically know what they will look like, a pic does help to form a final opinion.

    I heard my first prog music in 1979 when someone lent me Fragile. Thus began my lifelong love of prog, and it was the first record where I sat up and thought "wow, bass sounds like it can be real fun to play". RIP Chris, and thanks for the iconic bass playing

    Possibly getting one soon. The Fretboard website are having a challenge to buy a cheap Thomann guitar and mod it up, so I thought I'd probably have a go myself. Can't decide Tele or LP - leaning towards Tele, I might go mad and stick a strat trem on it!

    I'd like to get an 88 key controller, preferably USB powered and preferably with semi-weighted keys. Anyone know of anything that fits the bill?

    Hmmnn, I quite fancy trying one but I'm not sure I can stretch that far right now. I assume it's the one with the input on the front?
