  1. You will get more than £450 for this on Ebay I have no doubt. I have seen these selling on there for £550 - £600
  2. Hartke HA4000 Rackmount head. In great condition. Had a problem with the attenuation so I had it serviced and repaired at Spectrum Music in Whitefield. The engineer also fitted a little mod to it in the way of an attenuator which is accessible from a tiny grub screw next to the mute button so you can adjust the level on the active channel to suit your particular bass. This makes a world of difference in getting a loud powerful clean tone without worrying about clipping the amp. The amp is 200 Watt at 8 ohms and 400 watts at 4 ohms. Its a typical heavy duty hartke build and in my opinion far superior to the new Hartke range. it has a suberb EQ section It has all the usual gubbins, Mute Button, Di and Pre amp out. Ground lift switch, lots of send and returns ect ect. Its rackmount but can also be used as a stand alone head with Front handles, a side handle & rubber feet. Will do some decent photos and put them up tomorrow £150 or maybe a trade for a 4 stringer (Freted or Fretless)

  12. I had this problem and got round to putting it in for repair this week. The Engineer phoned me this morning and told me the attenuation on the active input was set far too high and this was causing it to clip and cut out. So great news as its costing me a lot less than I expected and there is nothing really wrong with the amp
  13. Has anyone tried to upgrade an MM2 to active with a decent pick up. I was just wondering if there is much work involved?

  18. I'm actually saving up for one of these, but I can get a new one for 870
  19. Not a problem for me really. I have never learned from music or tab. I listen to the record a couple of times and I can usually play the bass line. Sometimes if there is a particularly difficult bit that is hard to hear properly I will download the tab just to check I have it right. Being originally a lead guitarist for 30 years I have always found learning complicated lines by ear easy
