I knew somebody who had his own plates, they were his initials. I won't reveal the real letters but I'll use these as an example - ABC1. He then generously put personal plates on his wife's car. ABC2. Yes, he was a c**t. A big one, and in all respects.

I just bought a pedal from Harry. As ever, an easy sale. Thanks Harry.
Out of curiosity, what is powering your board?
I'm using a Visual Sound 1Spot on this board. It's a 1700mA supply. And yes, the pedals are daisy chained.

I just bought a Pedaltrain Metro 20 to house a few spare pedals but I got distracted and started messing about with some of my favourites, I ended up with this and I'm really happy with it. I'll be taking this board out for Saturday's gig. The phaser pedal is programmed for flange & chorus. Line6 G30 > Polytune Mini > Catalinbread boost > COG Knightfall 66 > COG Grand Tarkin > 3 Leaf GR2 > COG T-16 octave > Source Audio Lunar phaser.

The app and the PC editor do exactly the same thing. You can change patches using the app, but you won't be doing seamless patch changes whilst still playing, it'd be inbetween songs - you need to tap 3 on-screen buttons to choose a new patch and send it to the pedal. Of course, you can save your 3 favourites to presets and recall them by flicking the toggle switch.

I've owned (and quickly moved on) a few pedals that are loved by many, just not by me though. ODB3 & Bad Monkey, at least they were cheap and I didn't expect too much. The pedal that dissappointed me the most recently was the Darkglass VMT. With my set, up it sucked. Shame really as with all the hype and love going around about it I thought it'd be amazing. I moved it on pretty quickly.

I've got one. The more I use it the more I like it.

I gigged the Aftershock this weekend and it sounded really good. I expected it to be ok but I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it just slotted in along side my analogue pedals. The Muff and Rat models sounded great at gig volume.

That's lovely. I'm putting that forward as a new song for one of my bands. I've found lots of their stuff now and we'll be listening to it on our 5 hour gig drive today.

For Sale - Diago Showman pedal board. I've had this for a couple of years but it's only seen use out of the house for a couple of months. I don't need anything this size anymore so it needs a new home. There are some light scuffs & marks on the outside but no big scrapes or damage. The velcro in the base has been replaced with better stuff than was originally fitted. The new velcro has been glued using proper impact adhesive so it will never come off, unlike the original that got soft when the weather was warm and peeled off really easily. The foam inside the lid has some pedal knob marks, but this is only cosmetic, it still does it's job just fine. These Diago boards are built like tanks. The measurements inside are 750mm (29.5") x 350mm (13.75") x 100mm (4") Here's the Diago product page: http://www.diago.co....edalboards.html The asking price of £75 includes UK recorded shipping. These go for £115 new. I'll knock a few quid off for collection in person from north London, N4.

If you want extreme I'd say go for the Aftershock. It'll do that in spades. And with the three stock sounds you also get to save three of your own in preset mode. That's 6 sounds already without getting into external switching, all for £120.

I've had the Aftershock for 10 days now and I'm learning more about it every time I fire it up. After the initial euphoria I had a few hours messing about with the PC editor - the damned thing just annoyed me, a lot. I found this editor to be a pain in the @rse. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Neuro app and the PC editor can talk to each other. Maybe I missed something here though. I'm sticking with the Neuro app now. I have the Aftershock (and a Lunar phaser, which does phase/chorus/flange) hooked up to a Neuro Hub and a One Control Gecko Mk2 (MIDI switcher), with my expression pedal plugged into the Neuro Hub. The way it's working best for me is to use the app to tweak a sound, burn it to one of the presets on the pedal, then save it as a preset on the Hub & Gecko. Then I can tweak the relevant Aftershock knob to find the min & max levels for whatever parameter I want to control with the expression pedal, and get that added into the Hub & Gecko patches. Once I got going it didn't take long to get all this done really fast and what initially seemed to be a time consuming task is now pretty easy. On the Aftershock I'm using my exp pedal for volume, treble & blend duties. I haven't yet used it for mid boosts, wet levels and the various other parameters the app lets you assign to two of the knobs on the front of the pedal. All in good time. When I save patches on the Hub & Gecko I'm saving sounds on both the Aftershock and the Lunar (the same process apples to both pedals). At the moment I'm not planning on using them both at the same time and they're in different signal paths on my board, but for each MIDI preset I create I now have two pedals programmed with sounds and exp pedal settings. Sweet. I quickly realised that the Aftershock will never challenge my favourite dirt pedals, they are just too good, and they aren't going anywhere in a hurry. But with MIDI switching the Aftershock can do a whole lot of other dirt sounds (including parallel distortions, very cool!) clean/dirty boost, EQ changes, the list goes on. It's really versatile. You just have to put the time in to get to know it. For what it's worth, I liked the B3K model although it's been a while since I last played one myself so someone else can have the final word on that. If you buy an Aftershock just for the 3 factory sounds you won't be disappointed, they're worth the asking price alone. If you are into lots of tweaking then this pedal with the app/editor might also suit you, the hours literally fly by though, be warned.

Like anything, it's an aquired skill. The more you do it the easier it will become. Go for it!
