1. Thanks for all the trade offers but I'll stick to cash sales for these pedals.
2. That's a sweet bass. Enjoy
3. I better clarify this as it may be confusing. The graphics on the boost pedal are just for fun - the volume doesn't start at 11, and at max the volume isn't really at infinity. Unity is around 12 o'clock. And it does add a some treble.
4. I've been called that a few times!
5.
Would you consider trades?
PM'd.
6.
PM'd
And replied.
7. A few more pedals needing a new home. None of them have original boxes, but they've been looked after and are in great contition. They don't have original boxes and they all have velcro on their bases. Prices include UK recorded shipping. Xotic BB Pre Amp. [s]£80[/s] £75 SOLD The Xotic improvement of the Tubescreamer. A cracking pedal, lovely break up. EXH Bass Soul Food. £40 SOLD One of the recent favourites around here and rightly so. COG FET Boost. £50 SOLD A custom build for me last year but I'm just not using it any more. Lots of gain on tap with this boost pedal. The huge knob makes it easy to adjust with your foot whilst playing. The graphics are '11' (min) to 'infinity' (max). It runs on 9v but has been built to accept 18v too.
8. For live work, never. For recording, not yet on bass but more likely with other instruments.
9. I run a PA and when I take a job I usually do it myself. I don't ask for help in or out but if it's offered I don't refuse it. If I know the load in is a pain I'll price the job accordingly to employ some help. If I'm doing PA with one of my bands and I'm playing bass on the gig too the other musicians always help with the break down, I've never had to ask, they just chip in. Although there are a handful of musicians who never turn up early enough to help with the set up....
10. I sold a blending pedal to Harry. He's easy to deal with, prompt payment, another easy BC transaction. Thanks Harry.
11. And nobody does Junior Brown quite like....... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgZnNz4quHA
12. It seems that all the One Series pedals are now in stock at Bass Direct. Except the Aftershock that is.....
13. I just sold an audio/MIDI converter to Kevin. He's easy to deal with, quick payment, nice guy, everything that makes for a smooth BC transaction. Thanks Kevin.
14. I sold a pedal to Marc. He paid promptly and good comms throughout. A pleasure to deal with.
15. In the late 80's I think it was, green behind the ears & just arrived in London from the sticks, the young Ratman was down at the Bass Centre in Wapping and found myself looking at a crazy looking bass. I'd never seen anything like it before, and as I stood there gawping at it this bearded bloke comes up and starts chatting. After a bit of small talk it transipres that he designed it. I was well impressed, and when I walked away I remember thinking that I'd never met anyone that could build a bass, especially one as unique as that. Cut to a month later I picked up the latest copy of Bassist mag. There's that bearded chap from the Bass Centre on the cover. Ah. Oh dear. It's a guy called John Entwistle. Speechless.
16.
or else all they need to release is a plain grey box with every effect in ever...
Isn't that the Zoom G3?
17. Agreed, the Nemesis is pricey. But the drive & modulation pedals are very reasonable considering their extensive capabilties. What I don't get is why they released three drive pedals and three modulation pedals, because if you buy one you get all the effects of the other two. The only difference is which colour you want to have.
18. New home now found.
19.
Cool thanks for getting back to me, I'll have a think and get back to you, I may have found another way...
No worries.
20.
PM re graphic
Reply sent.
21. I know a guy that used to drum for Peter Andre, Alex Toff. I'm not sure if he's still in that band but he's a hell of a player.
22. True bypass is only applicable where there is circuitry in the pedal that you'd want your input signal to completely avoid, isn't it? This is an A/B pedal, not an effect or an fx loop, so the wiring inside simply lets you select between the two outputs. Yes, it could be used as a mute. If output A is going to, say, your amp. And output B is left disconnected. Then selecting B would mute the signal going to your amp.
23. This pedal is getting lonely and sad. It needs some new pedal friends, and a loving home to cheer it up.
24. Down to the last two - passive A/B box and Graphic EQ pedal.
