1. I just sold a pedal to Lyn. Another easy BC deal. Fast payment and great comms throughout. Thanks Lyn.
2. The Grand Tarkin has now sold. There's still a great deals going on the BEF Pro and the COG loop pedals. Get 'em while they're hot!
3. I got a cheap loaded P body on here a couple of months ago. I already had a spare P neck with tuners, flats, and I sourced a high mass bridge. My first bitsa bass built and nicely set up, total cost £50! I was thinking about replacing the pups with some Quarter Pounders from my PJ but off the bat the unknown stock pups sounded great - fat and meaty with just enough treble bite for my taste. A month later I was doing some Paddy's Day gigs in Switzerland and I decided to take this bass. It was so playable and it sounded great. Even though I prefer J necks the P neck didn't bother me at all. I know I'll never sell it as it's not worth sh*t, but as a worthy back up or for a rowdy pub gig it'll do just fine. Of course, any offers over £300 will have my full attention. Only kidding, this one's a keeper
4. I just picked this up on eBay but it's not doing quite what I need so it needs a new home. It's the original Tubescreamer with the mid focused drive. Controls are Gain, Level, Bass, Treble, and Blend as it's the bass version. In great condition but without it's original box. The price includes postage to UK on a signed service. SOLD
5.
Are any of you Corona owners using the mini or the are you all using the full sized version?
I've got the big one, it has the extra tone control, it's very useful. The mini doesn't have this.
6. I've reduced the price of everything that's left. This lot needs to go and there are some bargains to be had here.
7. I've sold Ian a couple of pedals recently. Both times he paid quickly and his comms are spot on. Deal with confidence. Thanks Ian.
8. This is interesting. And the app looks amazing.
9. Douglas was first off the mark to take a free pedal off my hands. Great comms and a nice guy. Cheers Douglas.
10. Hot Hand 2 now sold so price reduction on the BEF PRO.

15. This bass is now sold, pending payment.
16. Damn. Not the news I wanted to hear first today.
17. Hi Greek. I really like the feel of the black tapewounds. I'll a/b them with the regular flats on my Ps when I'm back home this weekend.
18. FOR SALE: My lovely Epiphone Jack Casady. It's in immaculate condition. I've owned this for almost a year now but it's not getting the use it needs for me to justify keeping it. I've done a couple of gigs on it and it was great live, got loads of comments on its tone and its looks. I have done some recording where it sounded amazing. It really punches through the mix with depth and clarity. It has a practically new set of LaBella Black Tapewound Flats on, and I'll throw in a set of gold Dunlop strap locks with the bass too. It comes with an Epiphone hard case which is in great nick, just a couple of marks on the outside and the fluffy interior is perfect. I'm not keen on shipping this instrument so looking for collection or a meet within a reasonable distance of North London. I'm not looking for any trades, apart from maybe a B3K as part of a deal, definitely no basses though.
19. I recently picked up a TC Corona just to have a decent chorus on hand in case I needed one at some point. As it turns out, I messed about with the tone print and now I have that set as a killer flanger. I have it in a parallel looper with a bit of clean and it's my new go to sound to beef up my sound during guitar solos, with maybe some dirt added too. The chorus isn't too shabby either. But I really love my flanger.
Did you measure the bias voltage or just adjust by ear?
I asked Peter at VFE and his advice was to use my ears. I did mark the trim pots though, so I can get them back to their original settings, or at least close to it, if I ever choose to.

Also, most effect models have a wet/dry blend. I don't know what kind of sounds you're in to but be sure to play around with this, it's a great feature that most of the original pedals didn't have.

When you've created a new patch just save it where you want , for example, A1, A2, A3 etc. This replaces the factory preset. For stand alone effects do you mean move them around in the effects list? They can't be moved but you'll soon get to know the order of the list and it only takes a few seconds to scroll round the list to find your favourites.
23. What about a dedicated boost pedal? It's up to you how you set it, subtle or big boost, depending on your needs. I use one to just when I want 'more' of whatever sound (clean or driven) I'm using at the time.
24. I remember seeing one on Gumtree a few weeks ago. They do come up from time to time. Also keep an eye on Coda Music second hand section.
On testing last night I found with the gain low it sounded FANTASTIC. As soon as gain was over a quarter it farted on every note.
My Ginger came with the biasing already set to the ROG specs (I had mine made by VFE) and it had pretty much no clean at all. I've since adjusted the biases back a bit and it's brought the pedal to life. Mine doesn't start to break up now until the gain is at 9 o@clock. I love it.
